Hi all...did u miss me?Did u notice I was gone for a WHOLE week?!Did u notice I was gone at all?! I went to visit parents in Scotland,and,horror of horrors...they have a mac....couldnt play FC for a week!!! Solitaire just wasn't the same somehow!...anyhoo,just catching up with the threads and posts..looking forward to playing my beloved FC tonight!!

lol....my hubby wont even take me on the pirate ship ride at the theme park!!!...I have to tell you all about my weird FC dream though.I went to a FC convention(yup,just like the trekkie conventions!).It was hilarious....there was a sea of men in red haiwaiian shirts and women dressed as Val all over the place! There were various stalls where you could actually purchase the weapons used in FC(I know,but remember it was a DREAM!!).Of course,there were pcs dotted all over the building where you could play the game either single player or mp.Some of the clans had stalls and were recruiting people throughout the day!.There were dudes dressed like Crow and Krieger and loads of shifty looking mercs.There was a caged area where the monkey boys and fatboys were kept,and the best bit of all?..............porky and cuZ running the refreshment stall,handing out tea bags to everyone.....how kind.....now I'm off to my appointment with the shrink....later guys

Off to the US again,eh?!! That must be with your "some sort of tech" job .....some of us have REAL work to do!!! I still only managed FFA last night as the official Assault servers were mostly full.I'll get there eventually!

Been home 7 weeks since begining of October, if you want to trade places and live out of a hotel room I'd take the swap anyday

Sounds like a top notch job,so keep up the good work....wouldn't swap places though...sounds a bit stressful,and even more so for your poor wife!She has my sympathy! I started back to work on Thursday....tons of paperwork to catch up on,and loads of new legislation to put in place(Mrs Smith in room 7 will just have to wait a little longer ) Quick question.....when I went into an assault game earlier today,what does the yellow arrow above players heads signify? I only ask as it was a bit hard to tell the opposing team from mine!! (And dont work too hard cuZ...life is too short!!)

Yellow arrow means you get negative points if you kill that fella.. also the crowd is gonna shout "teamkiller, teamkiller..." and maybe kick you from the server if you keep on doing it...

Aside from that attribute you can also distinguish teams by their suit color (red vs blue) and furthermore, keep track of your radar in assault. The dots are friendly guys (those with an arrow above their heads ) so f.i.: if you know that the rest of your team is behind you, you can happily blast away at everything in front of you..

If you think thats difficult try the obsidianedge mod - here both teams wear camouflage (and no arrows of course) and its more or less just the hats that help you to differ good from bad..

dont limit ya'self to Ubiservers tho...move around abit.

1 thing on Ubi servers is that they have ff OFF so if u shot or nade or rl etc that triangle u wont get a Team kill...but this doesnt mean it is impossible to TK. You can have a good game there, but remember there are also some elements out there that have found out how to TK on these servers.

It may be a bit harder at the start but try a few clan servers....if they have members in they will make sure you are looked after..well most will anyways!

well,I think my ahem,"nick" is still ellie1970 as it is here.And the only reason I have been sticking to the official servers is for a few reasons...I was told to try to stick to servers with low pings,which obviously the UBI servers have; there is less chance of people cheating on these servers apparently,and thirdly I notice that a lot of the clan servers either have very high pings or are password protected(I'm assuming this means I have to go to the clan website and register,in which case it is pure laziness on my part!!)Erm,what else...oh yeah,sometimes the servers that I would like to try out are already full(awwww,poor lil me!) Also,I am on xfire,and I though it would inform me when some of the people I have communicated with on this forum are playing FC online,but I am not sure if I have misunderstood this or I am incorrectly using xfire.......OMG(now I've worked out what that abbreviation meant!),I sound like such a thicko when it comes to gaming,but heyho,thats life!

theres actually more chance of cheats on a ubiserver than a clan server running PB. Ubi Servers PB checks arent as strict as a clan server. Plus most cheats steer clear of clan servers cos when they are cuaght they generally find themselves banned on many servers or even on a master ban list...which is global. The only other place more likely for cheat is on a non PB server.

if a clan server is locked it means they are either...playing (league) or training...or they have a permanently locked server cos this is cheaper!

if the servers full....just keep clicking the join button...it will eventually let you in...but it also means its popular....and for xfire u normally need the players "xfire nick"

oh yeh about the ping thing....sometimes the ping you see in the server list is not the same when u get in game....i can click on a server showing 60 ping and when im in its half

Ok,my learned friend,thanks for that info!! Re the ping thing(heehee),I thought that if I joined a server with a high ping,that I would be slowing the whole game down by joining,therefore in effect,peeing the rest of the players off?!!!

@Porks definately mate... Got stuff to do tonight then I need some FC R&R for the rest of the week My internet connection was playing up that bad at home and with other things going on I only got one decent game in all the time I was back...
1500-2000 ULOST in 5 mins makes it pretty unplayable...
