Just giving a heads up on this upcoming game from Ukrainian developer DeepShadows. It is well along the way to completion and release date is ~Spring 2008. It will be a RPG/FPS hybrid, following on from Boiling Point: Road to Hell.
Anyone who enjoys FarCry, STALKER, Just Cause etc.should put it on their watch list.

WhiteGold is basically finished and will be in QA/Beta test phase for the next few months. September 2008 release is looking firm.

System requirements are:
Minimum:CPU: Athlon 3000, 1Gb RAM ,GeForce 6600GS 128MB or similar.
Average: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2, 1Gb RAM, GeForce 8600GS 256MB or similar.
High: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4G (E6600), 2Gb RAM, GeForce 8800 512MB or similar.
O.S. supported: Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP SP2 32/64 bit, Windows Vista 32/64 bit.

Video card must support pixel and vertex 2.0 shaders or 3.0 better

"Live For Windows" service will be not supported.

When I was reading some previews of Far Cry 2, one mentioned Boiling Point. I've seen it has it issues, but there have been some positive reviews. For those who don't know this is the spiritual successor of Boiling Point: road to hell.

I'm going to keep an eye on this. Together with Africa, Columbia is a great theme for a open game.

I'm not sure if this is the game for me. (I got nothing with role playing) Maybe I'll buy it when it get's cheap (like I did with Far Cry).

BUT:
I suggest people keep an eye on this. If you feel Far Cry 2 is something missing (RPG elements, GTA elements), or if you don't mind spending money and like open gameplay check this game out.

This 24 minute interview/video on Russian TV shows that development of White Gold is nearing completion. English and other localisations should just be a matter of time.
