I'm trying to see if anyone knows how Cold Fear did its super smexy rain effects, but the forums have literally vanished. (I'd like to make said effects be transplanted into Crysis if at all possible, because standard particle-based rain is just plain ugly and ineffective.)

I'm trying to install Cold Fear but can't. It seems to install, but then won't play. Any help out there?
