Your forum account will be directly tied to your Master EA Account, so if we ban you on the forums, you would be banned from the game as well since the login process is the same. And you'd actually be banned from your other EA games as well since its all tied to your account. So if you have SPORE and Red Alert 3 and you get yourself banned on our forums or in-game, well, your SPORE account would be banned to. It's all one in the same, so I strongly reccommend people play nice and act mature.

This is off topic/forum but still interesting.
EA now seems to be a company of extremes. Either not supporting their games at all, or throwing down the socialist style hammer on anyone and everyone who crosses them. I thank God that EA is only 1 of few that carries this mindset about their games.

So before anyone else bashes Ubi anymore about the relatively small problems let me run a thought by you.

EA COULD HAVE MADE AND RUN FAR CRY 2..

Wow that was certainly original.. I haven't seen as much complaining about general game play and such as I have people feeling deceived. Advertised one thing, and sold another.. That's the main issue. I second the above statement. Everything an opinion on here varies from your own, people like you call it whining. If I want to come on here and tell UBI I think there product sucks and I wish they would make more of an effort, then I should be able to and they should welcome constructive criticism. That's the key point though, I also don't agree with pointless slander and complaints with nothing to back it up. But to ban someone from playing a game based on there opinions is downright pathetic. Just further self implifications that we fell short and don't want people talking about it. It's people like you who give the companies all the power regardless of the product they sell. Whether it is good, bad, or ugly, you remain loyal to a brand name, while that brand name does not remain loyal to you.

Oh thats right folks pay $50 for a game & have no say on a support forum in voicing complaints on inadequit software that is sold as working ? The only recourse they have is posting complaints here , ubi's done zip if ya look around ,,, every "fix" on this forum is from users , because ubi was thinking they released a decient product ,,, don't be foolish . now don't complain ,,, lol . folks can do as they want just as ubi did .

How exactly is creating multiple accounts and spamming the forums going to get your point across or solve anything? Do you really expect Ubisoft to take anyone seriously who acts like a 8-yr old?

That's exactly the point of view I'm coming from. I'll be the first one to call shenanigans on Ubisoft if they ban someone for having a difference of opinion, providing constructive criticism, or otherwise expressing a sentiment that doesn't necessarily jive with the company line.

However, this is the UbiSoft forum complete with Terms of Service that one agrees to when he/she creates an account. I don't recall the TOS ever stating that a ban could be incurred for merely having a difference of opinion. I've visited these forums off and on for over 4 years and have never seen a ban carried out for that in and of itself.

What I have seen in the TOS is language to the effect that posts containing racial slurs, excessive profanity, language that slanders another user, or links to sites that encourage or provide links to game cracks will be removed with the poster possibly incurring a suspension or ban. Truthfully, I've seen quite a few things fly on here that certainly danced the line on several of the aforementioned points and the mods have been incredibly leniant as far as I'm concerned.

Expressing your opinion is one thing. Slamming folks who don't agree with you, leaving one off comments like "OMG FAR CRYS 2 == TEH BADXORS UBI SUX" in dozens of threads without any substantiating details, or going the racial/slandering route is entirely another. So many people seem to be worried about Ubi cracking down harder, as if they're just looking to ban people for any conceivable reason. From what I've seen, the folks running the show here are incredibly tolerant, almost to a fault in my opinion.
