There are reasons. When I made my first account, it was considered to have an unacceptable name, and I had to make a new one; this one. The problem was that I couldn't cancel or switch E-mail addresses, and I couldn't use my E-mail address with this account, so I made up one. Well, something happened, and it informed me that my E-mail address is inactive (and wouldn't let me sign in until I gave it an active one), and I had to go through an annoying process of making another E-mail address just so I could post.
