Nice to see (read) that Crysis is being specifically designed for PC only, let's just hope that EA stay true to that concept in the future as far as Expansion Packs /Add-ons are concerned ... particularly after the Ubisoft/Instincts/Console fiasco where the PC version was simply abandoned.
I have no objection whatsoever to Crysis being made available to Xbox360 or PS3 owners ... as long as the PC continues to be the main (first) platform for any future content, be it an Expansion Pack, Crysis 2, or whatever.
Dear god, Crysis hasn't even been released yet, and here I am, already thinking about Crysis 2.
ive created the best possible video, with the content we have yet! because there was no sound in the gametrailers vid i added the sound from the gamespot vid and created an sync final vid
Perhaps Cevat was just trying to throw the competition off scent because in his first interview about Crysis with Gamestar he specifically mentions Xbox 360 and PS3.
Another very good indication is Team Xbox 360 is creating and hosting their own versions of the first tech demo.
"And while the game will certainly run well with DirectX 9, he noted that you'll probably see better performance with DirectX 10 and Windows Vista, thanks to the performance improvements Microsoft has made."
Whoops, I correct myself from re-reading the CGW article:
quote:
Vehicles are still mostly under wraps, but Crytek revealed two options: a helicopter and a tank. "With the helicopter, you can actually fly through the volumetric clouds," says [Lead Producer Jack] Mamais, hinting at spectacular sky battles. "In terms of control, the physics system is the same, but we've improved the process of designing vehicles in our editor, so they're much better by default. Also, we're adding component damage so, for example, you could give someone a flat tire to decrease their speed, as opposed to all-or-nothing immobilization.
