To run it as it is meant to be run you will need 2 gigs of RAM, Windows Vista w/DX10, a new video card that is not out yet and around 30 GB of free disk space (for OS + game).
Not counting the cost of the game new high end vid cards start at $500, Vista will be about $300.
Total price tag about US$800 - $1,000 depending on how good of a computer you have now.
These things take careful planning. If I start right now asking for a Harley for Christmas, she'll let me settle for a new video card and Vista just to shut me up. Of course, the slightest mistake .. I may have used the "Harley for Christmas" last year ... and she'll be on to me. Maybe it's time for the big plane trip to Grandmas for Christmas, and I could volunteer to "miss out" on that ... and bury the cost of the video card and Vista in our Christmas expenses. By the time she spotted that, I should be 10 or so levels into Crysis, and raving about my new video card that she bought me. Hmmm !
