Hi.

There is this autistic kid that goes to EB games at the mall in Seattle almost everyday and spends hours looking at all the titles and games - hes been coming in for several years. He is very poor, and doesn't even have a TV.

Anton, one of the guys who works there, started a donation effort to get the kid - his name is Mikey - and XBOX, but so far hadn't raised much money other than the money he put up and the TV he is giving Mikey..

I'm donating an Xbox, and a bunch of other people have enlisted to send out games and what not.

Its really touching to see people going out of thier way to do things for someone they have never even met, really makes you realize there are still some good hearted people out there.

You are talking about authistic kid here. Are you sure he actually wants XBox. Maybe he is just executing his daily routine and that way he is feeling safe. It is not neccessarily so that he wants the XBox.

If you go and buy him XBox you will break his daily routines and it is not maybe what you want to do.

Unless he specifically noted that he wants an Xbox, it is a better idea to just let him do what he wants. If he wanted it, he'd attempt to take it.

Like Grimphyre said, autistic people need routines to allow better brain development. If you break the routine, it could become confusing and stressful for him.

If you would take the time to read the thread at GG's , you would know he is quite poor and is dying to own his own Xbox , his days consist of hanging out at eb games,he's a hard core gamer, Playing games all day at EB IS his normal routine...
