Well, its not new but I just heard it yesterday. I was watching the closing credits of Kill Bill 2 where Uma is in the convertable driving down the road. The song that plays over the credits is called "Goodnight Moon" by Shivaree. I bought the MP3 and have listened to it about 85 times in the last two days.
Its catchy, haunting, great lyrics and sung by a beautiful woman with a sexy voice.
I just thought you should all know.

Yeah... didnt really like nickelback though... HIM is better then...

Although Silverchair feels like a good prequel of HIM really... but still there are many good bands out there... (BSB and Britney spears and the likes excluded)

Now im listning to Crawling - Linkin Park

Since your talking about catchy tunes....

This has been running through my head all day

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing

Sad I know, but it's better than a J Lo tune Wink

Cheech and Chong Up In Smoke. End of movie, they drive away, credits rolling, a cool song plays. Something like " all more worries go up in smoke".

Maybe not so catchy.

Korn? They are catchy, and alright, but nothing amazing. Now, for something of pure goodness, try Coheed & Cambria, or the Postal Service.

Why, because he went sober? Lol, I love the correlation of "soberness" and "suckingness" among bands.

Anyways, I was fine with all of their albums until the most recent one. I was reading an interview in Revolver and Davis stated that they hired a writer for the msuic. Sure, he claimed it was only to spwan "ideas", but that was the last straw. Now they have officially established themselves as a pop band. Hell, they even used a pop producer, didn't they?

well, keep in mind "pop" = popular. It isn't an actual genre. We just classify thgngs such as Britney Spears and all that garbage as pop since, well, the general populous likes it.

Bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit, and System of a Down have all hit pop status. Okay, one can further pentrate numetal, or the differnt metal subcultures, and start complaining that bands like Chimaira, Lamb of God, Cradle of Filth, and all that are "pop". Yes, they do hold to be for the general populous of that subculture (ie Avenged Sevenfold for metalcore, which are pushing pop status), but are for the most part neglected by the mass of peoples. Then there are the less known bands in genres such as hardcore, death/black metal, emo (real emo, not this misclassified "post-punk" trash) which are no where near pop, and just hold their own niche in their subculture's market.

I really hate all these new genres that have spawned over the years.

screamo-just more annoying.

hardcore- all the "emo" kids say that avenged sevenfold is HARDCORE. No, its emo, but with some front man in a leotard.

and then one kid once said that Shadows fall was "new age hardcore."

I'm sorry. What? They've been around for a while, and I dont see your "hardcore"

What ever happened to just "metal"? Thats what I consider most of my music to be. Slipknot, Shadows Fall, KSE, Soulfly, White/Rob Zombie...

People need to stop making words for music.

And apprently, I'm goth too, because I listen to "Goth" music. I dont wear the ridiculous pants from hot toppic...I wear normal ****. I dont wear eyeliner either. And just because I usally wear black shirts, does not make me part of a retarded subculture obsessed with Tim Burton. No. Its just how I dress. Stop lableing people out there and recognize them as an individual.

Anyways, back on topic. I got "My humps", as did the first guy, stuck in my head.

Umm, KSE (or at least the 2 albums with Howard Jones) can be included in the bands you technically hate. Slipknot are also a "sell out" band. As for the Zombie bands, that's more industrial metal, not true metal. I'm not saying I hate the stuff, just minor corrections.

And I agree. these new waves of bands are not what people really classify them as. Hence this new "metalcore" genre that A7X, Trivium, Atreyu, and all of that are being thrown into.

As for this post-punk/hardcore stuff (fake "emo"), I actually enjoy it once in a while. Hell, look at my top music, and you'll see that it's quite messed up. I used to be metal and metalcore only, but have decided that it was a touch too limiting.

As for a label, what do I go under? Well, "meek computer geek". Son once people here my (real) hardcore and (real) metal blaring, they are like, wtf?

I agree on the slipknot thing. Volume 3 was BS. Sounded like a christian album.

I like older slipknot...Iowa for example.

I'm not a huge KSE fan. I just put it in playlists for the flavor.

If anything, it's the newest 'Knot album that is the most refined and artistic. Then again, there are tradeoffs. With the gain of quality, they lost brute force. Plus, they swore like... twice?

And anyways, don't make assumptions about Christian music. Check out As I Lay Dying or Demon Hunter, and then you'll start knowing what Christian metal is (well, in the case of AID it's like metalcore, think Lamb of God, just more musically melodic, and way more screamy). The lyrics are no "Jesus Saves" type of stuff, hell, I have no idea why they are even considered Christian, but it just happens to be so.

Holy ****, they are christian?

Ha. A bunch of idiots at my school listen to them. I wonder if it would be pooping in thier cereal if i told them this...

By the way, forgot to mention that I'm a big fan of Mushroomhead. Highly anticipating thier new album...whenever they announce it.
