A mod at the Filefront Far Cry forum posted a link to a new Crysis video which supposedly has some intense gaming action in it and an alien invasion as far as I know.
VOL & Total Cry were the two sites linked to in his post, but VOL's download speed is incredibly slow, and Total Cry is a very low activity forum that requires registration just to download something.
Does anyone know of other sites that may be hosting this video?
Well I did some Googling today, though not through Google Video (I always forget about that). So far I found 3 that I'd not seen. A full screen graphics demo showing clouds, ambient lighting, soft shadows, etc, a guy playing the game showing how to trank dart enemies and such, and a pretty cool night scene of a guy fighting on a ship deck against one of the big aliens.
I'd have to say I liked the 2nd one best cuz it showed how you could do a lot of stuff, including cut the trees into pieces with your weapon. That would be via bullets, the new guns are part Swiss Army knife, but they don't have saws built in.
You know the whole time I watch these videos, in low res cuz they only offer high res in formats I don't use, I think how much better it will look playing it with the upgrade I plan to make soon.
You can tell just by some of the screen shots the detail is going to be awesome. I hope there will be a DX10 version of the 7950 GX2 soon. For a dual GPU card with 1gig of Vram it's debuting at a pretty reasonable price.
www.crysisnation.com has about 6 videos uploaded for downloading. Sites never been down and the speeds max out my connection everytime.
edit: You do have to register for that site though. Once you do you can login/post/access features on all three of there sites with the same login/password so it's kinda worth it.
