i think that the demo is amazing and i cannot wait to play the final product.

a couple minor complaints:

1) the game lagged a little bit for me on high settings with:

x800xl
1 gig of ram
p4 2.8 ghz

but that can be fixed by turning down the settings/having the retail version of the game

2) the machine guns, like someone pointed out earlier, felt a little to "poppy" and didnt seem to have enough ooomph to them

I was pointed to this thread in the general directory. I am one of those guys who normally don't take the time to go through all sections .

I've been keeping an eye on F.E.A.R. for quite some time. Played SP as well as the mp beta about 2 months ago.

I am really impressed with this game. Won't repeat why because most has been said already. I only hope they can do some minor tweaks to the enigine b4 release cause it does require a pretty hihg end machine.

Also one small thing of the demo: It's not an actual part of the game, but a couple of area's from different levels put together for the demo.

@DoC: About the MP. Do you had the opportunity to play all modes? I've only done sort of FFA/TDM and was wondering if it also had something like Capture the Flag in it... I was about to go on holiday when the mp beta was released so didn;t had the opportunity to play much.

That confirms what I speculated when it did so with my X800XT, even with a 3.0 P4. I feel this game has been optimized for shader 3, maybe they knew somehow ATI ws going to include it in their fall release R520 series, and didn't care how it would play with shader 2 limited cards.

In my experience, turning the settings down on the demo didn't really help.

@hanz- I didn't play MP enuff to give an honest opinion actually...got busy doing other things...hopefully you're enjoying it now (Project X mod)
