His elitist attitude is typical of the left. They think they are better than you and smarter than you, especially if you are of a conservative mindset. I get some elitism from reading Danger's posts, but nothing like what flows from baff6's posts. But that's ok. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if it means you have to degrade people and arrogantly try to establish yourself as part of an elite social class to get your point across. Afterall, they ARE better than us "simple" people, right?

I wasn't lumping you in with baff6, I just noted that I have got a bit of elitism from a few of your posts. Maybe I should have worded that last sentence a bit differently. When I said "they" I didn't mean baff6 and you, I meant baff6 and the rest of the elitists. Hope that clarifies things.

Maybe it's just me, but trying to read a sentence and gather a person's inference gets interrupted when you wander upon a stumbling bumbling set of mistakes like that. It just stops me short mid-sentence. Yes, I know. My issue to deal with.

Yes, I realize it's a forum, and people "shud b able 2 type lik dis", but to me, there's a difference between a person "typn quik lik dis" and a person trying and failing". It's a personal issue. You're right. I’m very particular. I'll seek help.

My posts about "top of the line PCs" usually included that they were top of the line to a point. But for one, they needed to be powerful in order to even play the new games that come out, and B. the video cards and processors were less than top of the line. I believe I stated that I held off on buying the top of the line in those categories, and I quote, "because I'm not a complete lunatic".

And the references to money was more of a statement that we as adults can afford to go out and buy a game if it strikes us to do so, while kids have to work a third shift on their paper route to make the scoots.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very particular as well. When I see things like what you mentioned--"shud b able 2 type lik dis"--or when a post in composed mostly of the endless internet acronyms like, LOL, LMAO, LMFAO, ROFL, ROFLMAO, IIRC, TY, YW, GTG, WTG, GG, HSTPWHFAIAPMAAR (holy **** that post was hella funny and I am peeing myself as a result [OK I made that one up]), I usually don't reply. If they can't articulate themselves enough to be understood then why bother.

It's very frustrating. I used to help people out a lot over at the RvS forums, and still do to some extent but the forums have been buried and not many people get over there anymore as a result. A lot of the posts were nearly incomprehensible. I'd read them a few times, then give up, hehe. It shows a lot about a person's character when they have excessive spelling/grammer/punctuation/composition errors. Granted, not everyone is a perfect speller or as articulate as they could be (I know I'm not), but a little effort put into the post doesn't hurt.

I usually don't comment on their errors though, unless it's extreme.

Although I have been asked to start up again with my old clan, a Christian clan, but time and work-on my friends part, he is now a full time Pastor in the service- probably will preclude my doing that also.
So, i just pop in here from time to time to see if there is anyone still about from my past- I have been here for about 6 yrs now..
But, usually I find that i am the only one left anymore... which makes me feel worse than I usually do..
So, I try for some inane conversation to modify the angst and anger that pervades this place-which by the way, is as it should be and was what attracted me to this and other places like it. I.E.Rainbow Six off topic - Digitalfleshwound-and a couple others.
And, i don't care if you shoot me so full of holes i look like Niagra falls when i take a drink, keep your cotton pickin' fingers to yourself.
