I've always enjoyed 'Rainbow Six: Raven Shield'. GRAW isn't bad, though not as good as the original. If you want a good arcade-type shooter 'Black Hawk Down' is a good one, especially when you get to use the MH-60 miniguns mmmmm.....

I don't game constantly and I spread it out. Only a few simple games do I play quickly to conclusion. I have so many incomplete games that I play every now and then, making progress through their respective campaigns. Ones I can think of right now are Vegas 2 (360), GRAW 2 (PC and 360), GRAW (360), Bioshock (PC), Splinter Cell Double Agent (PC and Xbox), Vegas (360 (playing co-op with a mate)). I plan to get back to completing Thief: Deadly Shadows soon (yes, I bought it as soon as it came out) and Dawn of War. The only other PC games I have installed right now, although I've completed and don't play them much any more, are Armed Assault, Half-Life 2 (and expansions), Portal, Team Fortress 2 (never played it) and Call of Duty 4.
"Thanks for the inspiration to rise above you all."

Got a little bored with shooters recently, been playing Company of Heroes. Like you said CoD4 is run+gun, 1 server even has a message - "if you stand still longer than it takes you to reload your gun you will be kicked for camping" . STALKER is the only shooter I find to be tactical right now. Unfortunatley it has an annoying system whereby you have to accrue points to buy weapons.
