Okay first, do I need to do a video edit before I use the record as avi feature? Every time I do use the record as avi, it crashes to desktop. If I need to change the codec, how do I do that?

Crash to desktop means that you have an incompatible codec. For instance, Huffy doesn't work w/Flaming Cliffs.

Okay, where would I go to replace that codec?

The game is crashing for me too. And I am at a complete loss. I've tried everything I know to get the in game AVI thing to work and nothing I do helps the problem. If anyone has any ideas or solutions I would be in debt to them.

I have the same problem. i have found out that my video card isn't efficient enough to run it. I am on a laptop so that might not be the problem for you, but i would put your stats up just to give us a look.
