been away for a long time now from the forums, since LOMAC is no fun on my slooowwww machine so I spent most of my time travelling through the solar system with "Orbiter". I am working on a new movie which deals with the Apollo 17 mission. Since Orbiter doesn't have that cool sun flare like LOMAC does, I would like to add this while editing. I am currently given the chance to use Adobe Premiere but I didn't figure out how I could add a dynamic lense flare. To be precise I have some scenes which show the spacecraft passing by with the sun moving through the background from left to right. You can select a lense flare like in Photoshop, but it's static and therefore useless for me. Is this possible with other video editing software? Which one? If anyone of you experienced guys have some tips or links, that would be very much appreciated!
YOu might want to take a look at www.borisfx.com and their Boris Red software. Go get standalone version trial (its free for 30 days).
This effect should be easily done with keyframes, in Boris you can define starting and ending point for an effect and it will be travelling between those keyframes during playback for example.
I used flaer effect this way once, when doing fun home movie, had my girfriend face on the video and wanted her transform into zombie. I sed Red, ray of light effect and keyframes movement to have the ray of light coming always from middle of her eyes. This worked like a charm...
Okay, I will soon check all your suggestions. A friend of my has AdobeAfterEffects so I will have a look at this too. I'll drop you a note when I was successful and post a link to the movie, but it will take some time...
