When i get my new computer, i want to start creating some lomac videos. Since most of you guys use Sony Vegas, i guess ill go for it too. Just one question, i checked it up, what's the difference between Sony Vegas 6.0 or 6.0a/6.0b...etc. Are those patches? And what is the best software to have all those nice effects.

I use the normal Vegas 6.0, not quite sure what the newer versions do. I guess they take care of some bugs (although, i've never encountered any bugs at all).

For the effects, well, they all come with vegas. Simple drag and drop effects, which you can then customize as you see fit. Combining effects as well.

Although, if you want really complicated and better effects, i suggest using Adobe After Effects. Personally, i've never tried "after effects", so i don't know how to use it.

i looked up sony vegas 6.0c. From the price, it looks like it's a "cheap" version of vegas 6.0 but newer. So which is better? the big original vegas 6.0 or the small cheap (yet newer) 6.0c?

"C" is just a fixed/patch for Vegas 6.0.

Maybe the newest product version of Vegas 6 being shipped now has the newest patch already.

weird...so i just install a clean vegas 6.0 and patch it directly to c? or do i have to go through a, b, and then c. I say its weird because i see a price tag on c. do we have to pay for the patches?
