Hi All !
My first Lock On movie: Gundance A bit raw and long. All this on a slow server.. Pure ingame footage of a dogfight, no fancy video editing. If still not scared enough, please tell me what you think of it. |

i hate to say it but the only good thing about this was the music. Which was very cool!!!!
The movie felt like I was watching a dogfight between 2 average AI on a crappy computer with all the graffics set to low, and yet still getting stutters. Hope to see improvements in the next one. Don't give up! BSR{L()Csta> 3Sqn_L()Csta |

Hey LOC,
Thanks for the feedback ! I got replies from other fellas saying that music is **** and flying is nice. Tastes differ.. Of course I'm at your side with the music cos it's from my favourite game, fav. band and fav. film. Btw I wonder how many recognized which game and film it was.. You may also be right on the rest cos that was my first attempts on gunfight and movie making as well. As for quality, the flight was not meant to be a movie at all, so settings were really on the mid/low side. The comp is a mixed bag (P4 2GHz, 768 MB, GF6800GT). Dunno why the stutter is, it's only during playback (ingame renderer was used on normal speed). The AI was on excellent but he flew quite dumb. Hardly pulled more than 3G, speed 3-400 km/h. Dunno why, I thought even the AI SU27 would easily own my rookie MIG. |

I have heard people will record with fraps at 1/2 speed to cut down on the prossesor strain, and stutter.
The AI is real hit and miss and sometimes can put up a good fight, but even if they don't you can sure make it look like they did by creative camera placement and various editing techniques. As I said before, I hope you keep up the effort. BSR{L()Csta> 3Sqn_L()Csta |
