Hi all,
I tryed to use Fraps recording in Lomac, but after couple of seconds picture stops, sound is running, but not picture (mouse or keyboard or Cougar aren't working), after cca 1min it alive again and runs everything (even mouse, keyboard and Cougar) for a couple of seconds and than again the same problem. I tryed more versions of Fraps, but with no solution. Some times ago it worked good, but now.... (even XP reinstall didn't help). My system is... P4 3.2 GHz Dual 1024 DDR400 GF 6800 GT TiR3 PRO + 6DOF Hotas Cougar Logitech MOMO Racing Sharkoon 5.1 HeadSet(headphones) (maybe this can be the prob, because I hadn't it before) |

It's very difficult to tell what is happening there. I've had Fraps behave very badly on two occasions, and the only solution I found which worked was to completely reinstall WinXP. Everything else worked fine, but for some reason Fraps would not work properly.
In your situation the first thing I'd do is set Fraps to its lowest possible recording settings. No sound, half-size, and set it to about 10fps manually. Then run LOMAC at 800x600. If Fraps won't record smoothly with those settings, you know something is badly wrong. I suppose you should also check there's nothing else running in the background which is upsetting Fraps. But I think if it was affecting Fraps it would also affect LOMAC. Your headset *might* be a problem I suppose, if its microphone is fighting with Fraps to see who gets access to the sound card? That's clutching at straws though. Andrew McP |

Thank you for your reply, I'll try some things, but first I'll try turn the microphone off.
Another issue is, that Allied Force is realy brutal slideshow, when I start fraps, but without Fraps it is smooth in every situation. It is normal? |

Sorry, I haven't bought Allied Force yet. I waste too much time making movies to fly another sim, :-) Andrew McP |
