How did you get the shots where we're flying over the terrain, watching the 2 other jets? Its from a chase plane but it does'nt roll with the other jets but still follows? Very cool!

He did this with the CTRL-F11 view. Detaches the camera and you are free to move the camera around wherever you want. Use mouse to look around, use the zoom keys to move forward or backwards.

hehe, just noticed the comments here Wink
Thanks guys.

p.s. Darth, Alot of shots are using the ctrl+F11 view as a chase cam like GA said.
It was captured with the "in-game" renderer and edited with vegas6.

Amazing video LOCi, with superior camera angels and devastating cut, I think one of the best LOCKON movies ever made. Where did you get that nice green grass and forests??!! Is this only colorized original footage, or did you change textures in game? :-)

Thanks Albertsma Wink
You would have to be more specific, but all shots can be captured with lomac, and colors/editing is done with vegas6.

I love SPLASH 6 movie the most, but this is excelent work too. As usually, GUN is amazing too, your Maximum G is a legend, same as The Lockon training by .....(I don't know, who made it). I visit this tread and whole forum sometimes, and I'm always looking for your movies first. Please, don't stop create it. Light rock music is probably the best, but I know, you'll choose good music always.

Nice movie!
I liked this ALOT.. particulary the low altitude flying in the mountains..

One question,
Where did you get that skin for your cockpit where its a different green color on the HUD.. I must have it! Big Grin

would be nice if it was available for the SU-27 too

No cockpit skins, but here are the numbers for the HUD color:
HUDColor[PlaneIndex.iSu_27] = {255, 215, 140}
HUDColor[PlaneIndex.iSu_33] = {255, 215, 140}
HUDColor[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29] = {255, 215, 140}
HUDColor[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29K] = {255, 215, 140}

If you don't know how to change it click here

Also note that due to after editing of the original footage, it will not look exactly the same as in the movie. Wink

P.S. YOU CAN CHANGE THE Su's also.

I watched the movie but forgot to check for your question.

Non rolling cameras are F2 and F5.

F5 camera can be slided using the arrow keys so that the aircraft it is attached to is not in view. F5 camera is also locked to another nearby aircraft. If the camera follows the target perfectly it is a locked on F5 camera.

F5 camera could have been hanging on a 3rd chase plane. It could also have been hanging on the nearest of the two aircraft filemed and the camera zoomed back out from the A/C.

---

If the camera does not have one the two aircraft perfectly locked but follows the two perfectly it is probably a F2 camera attached to one of the two A/C and zoomed out.

If the camera does not have a A/C perfectly locked and does not follow them perfectly it is probably a F2 camera attached to a 3rd chase plane then rotated under the chase plane and then "local camera" is activated with Shift-ESC and the camera rotated to point at the two filmed A/C, the camera hanging under the 3rd chase plane with the 3rd plane not in view.

----

If the camera is rolling then it must be a F4 or Ctrl-F4 camera. You can throw the A/C you are chasing out of the view of the Ctrl-F4 camera by using the arrow keys, so now it looks like you are a bird in the sky.

Just waiting for someone to mix video of an American Eagle together with LockOn footage using a slung under Ctrl-F4 camera and further mixed with videos of LockOn F15s.

----

Aircraft can be gotten rid of in the F4 rear view by zooming.
