Hi,

Are there any small free programmes out there which can speed the video up as i'm recording in 1/2 speed. Thanks

Have tried Windows Movie Maker 2 one but doesn't give very good results.

Thanks

That is not what he is meaning he slow the game to get a desent framerate with fraps .But now he wants to speed it up so he can edit it properly.

I have tryed Vegas video 4.0 but i only can get the play speed higher, when i record it records at normal speed.

I feel de NEED the NEED for SPEED !!!!!!!

most decent editting programs will have a "Track Velocity" or something to that effect.
Vegas works well.
You just have to remeber when speeding up a track most programs will not adjust the actual size of the clip in the project screen, but will increase speed of the track and then replace the void at the end with the another loop of the clip. This can lead to confusion if your not aware. The new ending is usually marked in some way.
I will try to diagram below Worried

this would represent the actual clip size as viewed in Vegas or something...
(|s = starting point, e|= end point

|s-------------e| -10 sec track (normal speed)
|s--------e|s--e| -7.5 sec track (x1.5 speed)
|s-----e|s-----e| -5 sec track (x2 speed)

from here you would just crop the clip to remove the looped portion, and you would end up with this
|s-----e| - 5 sec track (x2 speed from original 10 sec track)

Same applies for slow motion except its reversed, but some programs have a specific slow motion tool

Does that help?

I would use "VirtualDub"...
You can get it for free at:

www.virtualdub.com

It is a freeware tool, but very powerful. I use it all the time to deal with my clips, including speeding them up, cutting parts out, etc...
You can open up your recorded clips, and under "Video", in "Frame Rate", just double the FPS and save as a new clip, which will be twice the speed of the original. Quite simple to use!

-AMD Athlon XP 2800+ (2.08GHz, 333MHz FSB, 640KB Cache)
-Asus A7N8X (nVidia nForce II)
-1024MB 333MHz DDR SDRAM (PC2700, CAS2.5)
-ATI Radeon 9800Pro 128MB (ATI Catalyst 4.6)
-Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition (SP1)
