If you'd ask me about the flying - its outstanding. If you'd ask me about the movie I'd say the handheld camera shake effect is unrealistinc and used way too much. Instead of helping it's rather distracting the viewer from watching what's going on. Even pure amateur would record that kind of show in real life with less shake than it's used here.
What defends the movie, I say again the movie, not the pilots, is superb thunderbirds flying. If you would see 'joe average user flying his f-15 over airbase' movie with the same amount of shake as here you would write it's just too much.
What Im trying to say is that using f/x part with more care and concentraing on particular scene shots would make the movie better than it is now.
Well...not sure if I really have to say it again...BUT, THIS IS NOT REAL LIFE AND I AM NOT USING A REAL HANDHELD CAMERA!!! HAVE YOU EVER REALLY TRIED USING THE MOUSE TO GET A REALISTIC EFFECT??? Yeah, its very hard to do and not have it jumpy. Another thing..to get the movie slow, I had to slow the recording down to 1/2 or even 1/4 so when you speed it up, the shakiness is worse. YOU don't have to worry about it anymore, BECAUSE I WON'T USE THE MOUSE AGAIN!!!
