I've been downloading these 'lock on movies' for some time now and was that impressed with them that i had to try out the game. Needless to say I am that type of gamer who cant be arsed with going to the shop, paying top dollar for a piece of silver plastic and being utterly embarrassd by the **** it writes to my HDD. Therefore , where poss, i always get a cracked copy of the game and see wot its into. If i like it i buy the original - that way everyones a happy bunny. If i dont like it then it gets wiped off ma PC...end of...no hassle. Ok so whats the point?.well its this. i have a decent strength PC, memory, cpu, gpu, hdd, but lock on is very jittery and sometimes it just locks up. Now i would be very interested in makin sum LO movies but when i run FRAPS 2 in the BackGround, well myPC nearly dies and when i exit LO to see my trial run a 4.5 minute movie is SEVEN HUNDRED Meg. Is That RIGHT???

Ok, um..

First off, you need to post your system specs, otherwize we can't help you.

And when using fraps, yes, the files WILL come out very large and this is normal.

Use the in game AVI renderer to make your movies, It takes longer but it renders frame by frame so you get all of the quality and you don't need to worry about framerates.

I laugh at all the online wannabes and think they're Dirty Harry or Rambo. Those of us that are skilled w/real guns laugh at these n00b lamers.

yeah that's the way to go, and when you think about it in the grand scheme of things it probably doesn't take longer considering you can tell it to encode the clip in a compressed format in-game saving you from doing it later i guess

i wouldnt recommend using any of the in-game compression codecs. Your best off using the in-game renderer "uncompressed", or with something like Morgan or Huffy. The ones provided in the game are of poor quality.

Here's Huffy so you don't have to hunt for it.
