Ok, i dunno what you're trying to say here, but the voice you hear at the beginning was taken from the movie "Fighter Fling 2002", which i believe has been created by some guys in the navy. The guy talking has flown the F-14.

But i really don't see how that was offending or whatever at all..

By far the best movie yet Glowing. You cease to amaze me with your talent in movies. Don't listen to Tobi. Obviously hes a little upset he can't have the talent and skill that you have so has to try and bash on your movie. Again, Superbly well done. S! Glowing

If youâ´d had a look at this thread: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/829104012/m/9851046693 you would see that I already admitted my lack of talent to make such movies... And donâ´t get me wrong, I love all movies from glowing!! (I also burned them on DVD to watch them on my home cinema )

Also, I donâ´t hate the USA. I spent some time there before and plan to work in the U.S. in a few years.
Although it is very hip and cool if you are against everything USA-like here in some parts of Europe.

But what really pisses me off is patriotism!!! No matter if itâ´s US-patriotism (like this intro) or some stupid arabian guys burning down embassies because someone made cartoons of Mohammed.
If the world ever blows up it will be because of patriotism or religion, because thatâ´s what makes people blind.

I apologize for the comment no your movie making. I choose not to comment on the patriotism part. I am currently in the United States Military and serve proudly. When it comes to patriotism, im all about it. So again my apologize on the movie making, on the patriotism, no comment

I don't know if Tobi is an English speaker or not, but he is
definitely mixing ideas up here. Patriotism is a positive thing.
Nationalism is not. Even though, the message of that little speech in
the movie is inspired by patriotism, it might sound nationalistic to a
non-American listener, therefore it can be easily misunderstood. Keep
in mind that this is an international community.

The F-14 is a piece of history and definitely deserves this tribute.
The pride and devotion of flight and maintenance crews towards their
airplane should be understood by anyone who has anything to do with
flying. I think, it would have been a good idea to indicate where the
speech was taken from.

Good point! I almost agree with you.

Itâ´s just that bombing targets in Afghanistan and obviosly killing people is "showing the world all that is great about America".
Where most Americans would never think anything bad about this, all I think is "Ouch!!"
But thatâ´s the different way of thinking... (and that is why most Europeans think so bad about the US)

Letâ´s just keep it that way, that this movie is technically brilliant, but some non-Americans may have their problems with those statements

I particularly like the reenactment of the shoot down of the two Libyan Mig-23s with the actual audio.

If I'm not misaken isn't that US Senator John Mcain? He flew A-4s in 'nam, survived the Forestall fire, got shot down and was a POW. Not sure if he ever flew the F-14 though. He might have gotten a ride in one at some time though?

That is correct. Maybe i was wrong in saying he has flown the F-14, not quite sure really.
