I see these videos posted by LOMAC users everywhere(just got done watching "Superior Fighters" BTW, damn good job Glowing AMRAAM..)and I want to make a movie too. I have problems though... #1. Every time I make a movie the files come out quite freakin large. say around 100 mbs or so for 30 seconds of footage. What am I doing wrong here? #2. I want to place music in the movie as well as movie editing, such as what Amraam has done in his movies...and I can see what program he has used to make these edits...and I dont have 500 bones to throw away. If I did, I would have a Geforce 6800 pro. #3. I want this movie to be longer than 30 minutes or so...a story line such as "Ace Combat 4", if anyone of you are familiar with that PS2 game. If not may I suggest reading a storyline to it. #4. It also requires a lot of Comm. Such as multiplayers. #5. Need a place to host it. Preferrably a stream d/l or something like that. And finally #6. I need help with doing this, as I am a NOOB. Not ashamed to admit it, but I am an excellent groundpounder. Please I want as much feedback on this as much as possible, I am dead serious on doing this. All serious inquiries please. Thanks everyone. This is part of the script I have down...very similar to Ace Combat 4... LOMAC Video: "Endangered Skies" Same story plot as Ace Combat 4, only no meteor, no stonehenge (maybe), and using only the basic plot. Story Line Scene one. Note: Terrain is using winter textures only for this scene, it is an early morning bomb run, say around 0630-0700 The Black Sea region has been pulled apart and put back together in pieces after a terrible disaster. We never see the disaster zone(possibly show a city bombed to oblivion...), but the Russians have struck the first blow. Northern cities were attacked with long range carpet bombers leveling cities. Kutznetsov group is in port far north. Scene ends with bombers pulling north in formation. Scene two. Note: Terrain is using winter textures only for this scene, it is an early morning bomb run, say around 0630-0700. Enemy bombers bearing 090 heading 270 angels high, hot. Badgers are on their way to destroy port city of Sevastopol. YOU MUST INTERCEPT AT ALL COST! 1. Enemy a/c: Tu-93 Bear-B, 3 flights of 3, over Sevastopol on bombing run over the port city. Running shotgun are 2 flights of 4 Mig-23ML MiGs. Heading west to east over mountain range. Flight heads west for 30 seconds before scramble, scramble is in the air 10 miles behind formation. 2. Friendly a/c: Flight of 4 Mig-29A Fulcrums 10 miles behind enemy formation...Armed configuration is 2 R-27 RE, 2 R-77, 2 R-73's each. AWACS is airborne. (need air raid sirens, general panic noises in city...) (also try to find russian radio chatter, some english as well...victory over kills.) 3. Final ending: Enemy aircraft destroyed outside Sevastopol, one a/c lands inside Sevastopol City Limits, few buildings destroyed...(try to see to this...)...Formation returns to parade formation abreast, but not before lead performs a roll. Cut to scene a/c landing and taxi'ing. This is the first part of the movie I want done. I will start building the mission tomorrow, and play around with the camera settings. Also on another note I am using Frosty Crimea by D-Scythe for the winter textures. And this one time, in boot camp, I stuck a rifle up my... |

1) you are doing nothing wrong, they are large because they are uncompressed, this is perfectly normal
2) download windows movie maker 2 from microsoft, its free, and quite powerful. although you might not be able to add in so much special effects, it does all hte basics extremely well (i.e. editing, soundtrack, titles) 3) a 30 minute movie, will, i think be quite hard to pull off, but go for it by all means. another thing for 30 mins long is the file size, which could be around 250-300 mb to download 4) check out some sound effects sites on the net, they might have some comms. if not you can record some through a mic attached to your pc 5) legion usually hosts lock on videos, they seemingly have unlimited bandwith so... 6) as foir help, i would suggest making a smaller movie first, to see how its all put together, and to get an idea of what its like, you neednt release this if you dont want to hope that helps |
