"The ROE is the same as it was in RoaS, so I am not sure why people are so surprised/upset to see it in TS. The difference between the two games is RoaS had kill shots, and TS does not. I am guessing that if TS had kill shots, people would not be complaining as much about ROE."

Then i stand corrected. |

If this game had kill shots I'd stop complaining and go back to playing the game and having fun. That's the number one thing that sucks about this game. Other than that, the game is cool. COOP is badass. |

Also, one more thing, then I'm done with the forums for now, if they have kill shots on coop, then they can easily put kill shots into multiplayer. hell they can even make it an option that the host can choose on if they want. then if you want it like it is now, cool. if you want kill shots, turn it on and have fun. I know it's possible for them to put it in, even possible to make it an option in the server options, i just hope they do that on the final version. Again, i'm only renting this game now, after the dissapointment on the demo. at least if I dont like it, i take it send it back to gamefly and they send me something else.

i still wouldnt be happy about the way that the ROE are being enforced, but that would go a looong way. as ive said,i could live with the invulnerable wounded.if they fixed the mandatory bleed out, regardless of damage taken/given. |

In RoaS after a man was wounded he would breath heavy shake a lot can't run and can't take much more hits before he dies and next time he goes down he dies and can't be revived. Take all that and put it on this game and it would be better then anything since GR on the black box.

[QUOTE] In Fact the United States military is the only military who follows the Geneva convention.
do you practice being offensive or does it come naturaly?? |

I was reading an article about the game and saw this at the bottom of the article. the website is http://www.gcn.com/print/26_15/44526-1.html
“We have provided options that can be set to disallow using live fire or real ammunition,” Greenback said. “By turning that on, players will only be able to use nonlethal training munitions, just as they do in real Army training events,” he said. Greenback compares the training sessions to a game of paintball. “No one dies during gameplay; instead, they are called out and must sit down.” Sounds like there will be options. Guess that option is default to ON in the demo. Hope the option he talked about is true and we see it in the full version. |

How is this an offensive statement? |

I guess ignorant is a better way to describe your statement. The US army is not the only military who follows the Geneva convention. |

I think the kill system is fine as it stands. I think they drew a compromise between realistic action and creating realistic reaction. On a battlefield you never know how many enemy combatants you'll encounter. By having (intially) non-fatal injuries, players will need to proceed more cautiously than if they were able to register confirmed kills. Kill-shots and confirmed kill notifications are the elements that would have players moving across the terrain at an un-realistic pace. So while the weapon effects may not be completely accurate, I think the system creates more accurate and realistic behaviour of the players. I think the ROE rules are also in support of this theory as well. Since we don't train or advocate for our soldiers to indiscriminately execute wounded enemy combatants, the game doesn't allow for it. I believe this is as much a training tool for the Army, as it is a games for the public. It seems plausible that the Army hatched the "game" idea, as a means of providing a training tool that would pit an organized team (Army personnel) against mostly untrained and unorganized fighting force (gamers). To that end, they needed to develope a platform that would have combatants behaving more like they would on the field of battle, and less like they would in a game. When I look at the kill system and the overall game in general, I can't find much fault with it.
I like the game and I'm anxious for the full version to come out. Based on what I've experienced with the demo, I can tell I'll be spending a lot of time with this game. Kudos to RSE, UBI and all involved with the developement. |

i disagree....
knowing that you could be killed instantly with 1-2 shots will slow players down more than anything.knowing that you'll always have a bleed out time no matter what happens, and you'll always have a chance to be healed would encourage careless/rushed behaviour if anything. kill notifications and instant kills(we keep saying "instant" but it would be more accurate to say "non-timed") are completely different issue's.im glad there are no kill notification's(at least in TS mode). |

Question....If this is using the graw 2 engine then you should be able to get a kill shot like graw 2. Also you can get kill shots in console multi player. I did it today.

I'm pretty sure that feature is going to be in the next installment of R6. |
