I can run a full room in GRAW2 without trouble, but tonight holding 16 in AA was impossible when the booms started. Not talking about excessive booms at one time either. Once was at a single M203 round. Left game eventually and went to GRAW2 and we didn't have any trouble.
NAT is open, connection checks out as normal, even tested running directly from modem. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Anyone else noticing connection issues where you normally don't have any?
Does RSE already know about a bug that is fixed in the production version? Need to pass on info on this if there is any.
I've been hosting without any trouble really.. A full 8v8 room didn't go above 650kbps or so upload speed even when the grenades were flying, so if you're having problems I doubt it's a bandwidth issue.
Hmmm...at first I thought it might have to do with my router, but then I tried it directly to the modem and still had issues. We tried another host, another good connection, and still had the same issue, a couple of times. Don't recall any trouble last night, but tonight just didn't want to work.
Interesting tool you have for that. Does your PC monitor the connection, or what is that?
Most of the games tonight ended with fewer people than they started with, but I just wrote that off to people dying in the first 30 seconds of a 10 minute survival match. In any case, nobody said anything if they were having problems, and I had a couple buddies in there that I know didn't drop.
I know mine were actual drops, it's my regular group in a private room. Modem is just a month old, haven't had issues with it. We did play longer with no booms, but eventually still dumped everyone. Since this happened with 2 hosts, I'm not so sure this was just on my end.
I noticed more lag today. The echo on voicechat and the screen that says: "waiting for xxxx to join.." came up. I also noticed many people being gone by the end of games.
We were having the same problem last night. One artillery strike and the whole room or half the room would lag out. our host was running FiOS on his end, usually hosts 16 with full booms on GRAW 2 all the time. 14 on coop sometimes.
