Not a lot to talk about with the lack of info, huh?

What main elements from ROAS do you want to see brought into this game, to differentiate it from GRAW?

For example:
-set fire teams
-no crosshairs (friggin dot!)
-teamwork rewarded, not individual performance
-objective based game types (read: not flares, but actual objectives)

This wasnt in ROAS but I would like to see it in this game.

In coop I would like to see a leaderboard that shows the people that work as a team and stuff like that to see how good you and your team are doing.

I would also like the weapon mods back but would like to put a acoq scope on it with a M203. Also would like to edit your gear but noet like R6V did more like the helmat and if you want googles or not exct.. and what kind of amo pouches you would like to carry but I hope they dont let you change the camo like in r6v.

Also would like to see the different terrain like mountain, winter, dessert, woodland exc. would not like to see GRAW maps redone.

Just a little bit more customization, like Eagle said.


Example: goggles, on/off, goggle cover, on/off, NVG mount yes/no etc.

I'd like to see exhaustion as a factor again--working against your aim, health and offering a sprint limited by conditioning.

That's a great suggestion as anyone who has done a tour to OIF or OEF can attest to the affects of sprinting 100 meters in 120 degree heat wearing body armor!

All great suggestions. I would like to add that having NO kill notification is a must to bring from AA.

Yes I forgot about that that is a must and no aming redicul or croshair. If they do put that in allow in option to turn it off at least you know.

You got that right, I hope it's at LEAST a host option. You shouldn't confirm a kill without you or someone on your team making the ID. Knowing someone is dead removes caution from the situation.

Some things I would NOT miss:

-Excessive gun swaying/recoil. Some yes, but it was overdone in ROAS.

-The red dot for acquistion. I'd rather have nothing. I hope we don't get names over enemy heads.

I was reading a preview, and it said that there are now only 3 attributes you can invest in. I hope that is'nt true, I liked having to think about what I wanted to invest in.

i like the idea of the proximity voice being in mutiplayer like they were talking about in co-op. that would be extremely awsome.

i hope with it being on the graw engine that they fix the draw distance issue or just make less grass so it never dissapears.
theres nothing like having grass block your view but not your enemies view.

also passthrough bushes like in the mountain falls map.

I would like to see better AI all-around. Considering this is built off GRAW2's engine they shouldnt overlook the enemy AI but I am worried about the SP component. ROAS's friendly AI was okay but your lack of control over them would sometimes put them in situations where even *good* AI couldnt survive, just hope TS gives you basic commands like "Take Cover", "Get Down", "Open Fire", "Siese Fire", "Suppressive Fire" and w/e else, for a good exaple of this system look at GR2/Summit Strike. If they AI in those games was a little better at shooting and finding cover it would have been almost perfect!
One more thing I would like is to be able to advance into CO ranks, be given more space to accomplish the mission different ways each time and maybe even be given constant Fire Support from artey, mortors or air elements? Wont be playing Co-Op much and Vs. never but I played the SP game of ROAS quite alot even though some of it's aspects just out-right irritated me to DEATH!

Here are some quick facts to clear up any concerns or worries in the community.

1) In AA:TS there are no reticule dots or aim assistance unless your weapon has a scope and you have it raised up to focus in on your target. All other guns have an Iron Sight view that players will need to use since firing from the hip will be pretty inaccurate.

2) AA:TS has set Squads and Fire-Teams. Even average players that operate as a team will outperform great players that are on a team with less cohesion. Squad and Fire-Team Leader will play a big role in the games.

3) Sprinting will in fact be limited by Physical Training.

4) AA:TS provides a more realistic experience using the “True Soldiers” server option. With True Soldiers turned on the following will happen.
--* Removes IFF/Names
----o Friendly Names still appear but only at close range
--* Removes Focus Dots above enemy heads
----o Target acquisition becomes a much larger factor.
--* Removes Kill Messages in upper left (No kill confirmation)
----o Players should now confirm their kills since it’s a valid strategy to hit the dirt and play dead if you are receiving heavy fire.
--* Removes Radar
----o Leaves only the compass function onscreen
--* Removes Objective Markers unless the “Show Objective Indicators” option is On
----o Less Intel provided to the Soldiers on the ground, you must hunt down the Objectives yourself and send out Fire-Teams to recon.

5) Iron Sights/Scope is on the Left Trigger, Right Trigger fires.

6) There are Five skills to invest in using the Soldier Development System. They are as follows.
* Marksmanship
* Physical Training
* Fortitude
* Medic
* Valor

Keep an eye out on Xbox Live in the coming weeks for new gameplay videos, Dashboard Themes, and Gamerpics.

I wish we could get some more info on the SP game and/or the Co-Op with friendly bots. (Or am I misuderstanding and confusing the co-op in some previews as being the SP description?)
