I noticed there is usually an enemy with a bright red beret. Is the red beret given out at random or does it have something to do with rank or weapons?
I don't think it goes to the squad leader because I overheard enemies calling me out as wearing the red beret and I had the M203 at the time. But I've also seen an enemy with a grenade launcher without the red beret. I'm guessing that it goes to the highest ranking player?
Maybe a developer could answer this? When playing multi-player, are enemy uniforms assigned randomly to players on the other team? Or does the red beret/black beret/booney hat mean something?
It would be nice to know this for situations when you have several targets and need to choose which one to take out first
I've wondered about those same things... I've assumed the red beret went to the highest ranked player, and of course, the a.i. officers in campaign have it too. I don't know about the other colors and uniform differences.
I would like to be able to CHOOSE which player from the other team gets the red beret. After all, it's my personal machine that does the rendering on my screen. In the lobby, I would highlight them and then select my personal target. Then I would know which of them is the one I'm looking for, which one to stand over and talk trash as he lay bleeding.
In that vein, it would also be nice to have "selectable enemy rendering", in which you could dress up the enemies with any of a number of downloadable themes. You could have "Jihad Day", in which all opponents are rendered in full turbans. Or it could be Russian Day with huge fur hats, or Mexican Day with sombreros, ponchos and bandeliers. Arrriba!

I really wish a dev could answer the questions. I realize they can't put everything in that little manual, but more detailed information on the games should be made available somewhere such as on the game's website. This is not a complaint just about AA, but all games in general.
