I need to test some more but it looks like when I am Squad leader and I am in the map view pushing X to talk to my FTL does not work?? That is not good at all. How am I supposed to coord fire support for my FTL?? Anyone else notice this??
I didn't notice that, but I keep hearing about this "x" button when talking to FTL from SL or vice versa. I haven't noticed any indicator of that it is working at all. Also, it seems like I've been able to communicate with them, not using the "x" button, maybe it's just because of proximity... Any clarification will help.

From what I have experieced you can always talk to YOUR Fire Team members requardless of proximity.
You can only talk to members of OTHER fire teams when they are close.
The SL and FTLs can talk to each other when they are out of prox by pushing the X button and talking. Just like using a radio PTT button.
However last night this did not seem to work when I was in map mode??
