I didn't notice much recoil from the m4a1 unless I was standing then it took alittle bit of adjusting to give good follow up shots at longer ranges. m4a1 so far is my favorite weapon in the game.

I was reading an article about the game and saw this at the bottom of the article. the website is http://www.gcn.com/print/26_15/44526-1.html

“We have provided options that can be set to disallow using live fire or real ammunition,” Greenback said. “By turning that on, players will only be able to use nonlethal training munitions, just as they do in real Army training events,” he said. Greenback compares the training sessions to a game of paintball. “No one dies during gameplay; instead, they are called out and must sit down.”

Sounds like there will be options. Guess that option is default to ON in the demo. Hope the option he talked about is true and we see it in the full version.

Negative, he is referring to MILES gear. When you turn MILES on, you use blank ammunition, and the gun will shoot a "laser beam" instead. When a player is shot with this "laser" an alarm on his vest goes off and the player sits down, removes his helmet and sits "Indian style" on the ground until the round is over. That is how it is on the Computer, so I don't think it is used in the demo.

they need to increase the recoil for the m4 with the ACOG scope because it is just too accurate firing on full auto

In the Q&A thread, RSE says the marksmanship stat is maxed out for all players in the demo, and the other stats all have at least a couple of points tacked on.

still you would think there would be some recoil i mean look at it the crosshairs hardly moves it stays in the same spot about and I don't care how good you can shoot an assault rifle but you can't do that.

There is recoil.. If you fire on full auto you'll end up spraying a bit. The crosshairs don't jump around like they do in an arcade game like R6 Vegas, but you can definitely see rounds missing their target downrange if you don't steady your aim between shots.

I agree. With the marksmanship maxed out there is too little recoil with the ACOG. Especially if you compare it against the single fire with the ACOG. You can tear people up on full auto as the squad leader.

Looks like Marksmanship will be a must to max out and most people will do that - unless there is little wobble or recoil even at lower stats.

The CoD4 crowd is KILLING this demo on game site forums and even their own forum. I wish my paperweight 360 was working and I could download it to get some hands-on time. The wait is killing me.

Well, this is a totally different game meant for a different experience. It will appeal to a different type of person.

The only legit gripes in my opinion are the lack of no instant kills in adversarial, the net code which will require someone with AT LEAST 2mb upload to hold a 16 player co-op room, and the bleed out set to a timer instead of tied to the conditioning stat (as in RoaS).

yeah I wish they would change it back to how it was I don't like the forced bleed out timer. As for the instant kills I think that the only instant kill should be between the collarbone and where the helmet starts on the forehead but at center mass there are the kevlar and the ceramic plates. and that is just the general area like if you got shot from the side in the jaw I doubt you would die instantly you would (or at least I would) fall to the ground and start rolling around

Once a soldier has been revived once or twice, I noticed they will die instantly with a critical shot.

yeah that seems to have come from OGR and not from ROS. I liked how it was on ROS. I liked how you could be shot more than 3 times and survive but it seems in the demo it is 3 times and you die. Wouldn't the body armor keep you from dieing to an extent? I like OGR but I liked how being wounded in ROS was even better because if you got shot in trivial spots it would not hurt as much as if you got shot in serious spots but it seems to count the same in AATS

One thing I haven't seen anyone mention is the grenades. In ROAS when I threw a grenade, I felt like I was throwing a grenade. I would stay far away throw it and go prone. The new grenades seem more from an arcade game. Where people throw them five feet at an enemy when neither of you are behind cover.

I don't like the grenade cursor at all I think it needs to go on true soldier mode.

That was the worst part about it. If they just change grenades back to how they did them in ROAS I'd be happier.

same here. I wish they would change it to how it was. but my biggest concern is the bleed out timer it should be how it was in ROS

Strafing and firing work about like they are supposed to. As in it doesn't work very well at all. Clap
