Are there instant kills on muliplayer? or is it just like the demo? person gets hit and falls wounded. no matter if you hit them in the head, or hit them with an artillery strike.

Just answer this question please. if there are instant kills then, i'll add it to my GamerQ on GameFly, if there aren't then i'll pass on this game.

It depends on how wounded the soldier or the enemy is Chong. Listen, I don't want to start this debate with you here Chong. You have been raving and ranting about this in every corner.

Here is my finding:

I had a teamate the first night told me he got a headshot and enemy died instantly -but- this could also mean he could have been wounded beforehand and a fellow medic him which is most likely the case.

The majority of my multiplaying was in True Soldier Mode on - Survival. Right up your alley Chong.

It may also depend on if you have True Soldier mode on but I don't know about this yet. Haven't tested if kills depends strongly on precise critical hit (for the sake of gameplay - forehead shot) and of course vital signs (being wounded which is displayed in the Combat Interface soldier silouette).

Chong, don't worry you will get your kills in this game. Though the only instant kill fix you will get is when you think you instantly killed an enemy but really has been healed and is below 100 percent. By that time though **** already has hit the fan on the battlefield.

Or try SOF - you heard about them right, Soldiers of Fortune: Payback. You will surely get your fix in that game, hehe, but debrief us in the proper forum.

So far it's like the demo.
I'd like to see instant kills for headshots (first bullet only) and explosions w/i 10' or so, but it does work with how it is. The size of the maps is a huge factor here. The map in the demo was very very narrow. Most of these are much larger and open. The bleed out is ok since it's possible that the other fire team is WAY too far away to do anything if you split to cover the map.

If you base your decision on whether or not to buy the game on nothing but instant kills, then you are really missing out. That's a tiny part of the game IMO. I want a patch to allow kills like I mentioned, but I certainly wouldn't hold off on the game due to that.

It is my understanding that this is one of the issues being addressed in a patch.. No idea when that'll be though. I agree that it's enjoyable how it is right now though. In the meantime if you really get fed up with not being able to get kills, gp play a round on Shipping in COD4.

Yep. I think if you're in the red, or if you're injured and haven't been able to heal yourself or get healed yet that the next shot will put you down.

There are instant kills. Its was amazing when I saw it happen. A sniper killed two of my teammates with head shots. None of them were wounded before. The wounded timer doesn't always stay true because ive been blown up by a grenade and died 5 seconds afterwards. I was not preveously wounded.
