Ok release is in less than a month, where is the info UBI? It's ridiculous that you can't release some kind of info or anything.

There's plenty of information out there. Check out the hands-on previews at IGN:

They also have a slew of videos that look great. Also, check out the official web site:

Plenty of info? What about teamxbox, gamespot, 1up, gamespy?

You gave two links. The game ships this month. This game is so below the radar, and shipping at a time when there are many many higher profile titles, that have actual marketing, PR, buzz etc, that this one is going to get lost for sure.

Plenty of info. LOL. I was actually interested in this game, but considering next to nothing has been released about this game, I'll have to chalk it up to that it is going to be shovelware. Kind of like bad movies, they don't let journalists/reviewers see the movie, because the distributor/movie company knows how bad it is, and they don't want bad press. I really do hope I'm wrong, but there is plenty of opportunity with game sites/blogs/community sites that is free, and they are all silent over this game. Something is amiss I'm afraid.

man i know what your saying. i was totally hiped for this game and i choose it over buying COD4, but im starting to change my mind. if heard nothing but good stuff about COD4 and it has the '' take cover behind a wall'' feature that i liked so much with R6 las vegas. if this game has that feature i'll give it a try but if it doesnt then theres NO WAY. i guess i'll have to rent it first since theres aint **** about it anywhere.

I wasnt aware COD4 had that, but either way I dont believe this does. If you go to TPV in COD4 when you take cover then I am deff. not getting that.

I don't think COD4 has a CS. I think the reason this game is'nt getting press is because ubi takes us for granted and does'nt think it will attract many new players sense it requires thought.

I played the beta, and it was the only game I played, even after halo3 came out. I'm playing Halo3 now, but while the Beta was out and about to end I played COD4 Beta. It was wonderful. Great multiplayer. More run & gun then say GR, but not like halo3. I played Tactical Objective gametype which had Search & Destroy, with no respawns. It was addictive, and the Beta only had 3 maps... Now COD4 had NO cover feature on 360. No lean & peak, no cover (like gears of RB6Vegas) My only problem was no lean and peak, but I quickly got over that... but still kind of missed it. COD4's Single Player will be super given COD2's singleplayer. COD4 multiplayer has already proven itself in the Beta. I'm more hyped about this game then any game out in 2007.

CoD4 is WAY MORE RUN n GUN that AA will EVER BE.

AA is a tactical shooter and I think the reason we aren't seeing any media releases for this is that the budget just doesn't include enough money for it. I mean the Army paid a boatload just for Ubi to make the game so...

On the other hand, if it is a good game, the word will spread.

I never said AA was a run & gun... but COD4 isn't strictly a run and gun either. AA is NOT a run and gun, but to classify COD4 as a run & gun is a mislabel by anyone.

AA will never even have a run & gun game type in it, where as COD4 will have some run & gun gametypes...(Free for all, Team Deathmatch) but to lump COD4 as strictly a run & gun is a total mistake.

GR.net, gamersyde, and a host of many other privately run sites/community/forums/blogs could be helping with spreading the word, but most know little if anything of this game... and they could be getting some free publicity. I'm not saying it will suck... but signs are pointing that way, since there has been little info on a game that is almost upon us. I hope it doesn't suck. In fact I hope it goes back to some of GR's roots and gets away from the GRAW aspect type of game. It seems like AA will be like how Red Storm and the US Army would like to do a tactical game, not the casual Clancy player. But no news is not good news I fear. I hope to be proven wrong... and again... COD4 is not a tactical game but its not a run & gun like most Halo gametypes are either... And I have a feeling it is going to be great and get great reviews.

And XxMistaMADDxX you did post the initial question on where is the info/buzz on this game?

I think we're being a little hard on COD4. Yes it does have alot of run n' gun game play. However they do seem to be reaching out to some tactical players. I still think the reason AA:TS is'nt getting much press is because it is'nt a big run n' gun arcade shooter. Hopefully word of mouth will be enough.

Seems like COD4 is going to be a good one-time playthrough for those of us who dont play vs. online much but past that it seems like it's gonna be extremely repetative.

I think COD's biggest aspect is that it delivers linear over the top hollywood style action. at that it does very well.

No co-op online for COD4 too. I definetely would run through COD4 at least once if cooperative play is involved. For me, if most military games don't have any a solid single player and/or a sort of mission based team co-op w/ friends I highly doubt I will pick any military game up just for adversarial. Its all about the team here. Don't get me wrong though I like adversarial. I just have always been playing single or (mostly now) cooperative over live before getting thrown into the fire so to speak of adversarial. Plus you get to meet people and get your bearings.

It seems games either go co-op crazy like GOW or Army of two, or they don't really put much into it at all like COD 4. AA:TS looks like it fixed that though.

The ability to sprint, add perks to your weapons like increasing the blast radius, bullet damage/penetration and last stand somebody isn't the only thing that is run n gun about CoD4.

How about the fact that there is NO RECOIL whatsoever on CoD. What about the regenerating health system or the ablility to JUMP off of a 2 story building?

I think the addition of Hardcore Mode will help but IMO, it's more like a mix of R6 and GRAW.

It's not that I don't like CoD4 its just that I don't think CoD and AA are in the same ballpark.

And keep in mind Perry that I am playing CoD4 whether this game is great or not.

ST6 knows that right now CoD4 will be picked by MLG. That being the case we will have a team on it and I will be on that team.

My roots however are from Original Ghost Recon as are yours I believe. If this game is ANYTHING close to what that game was, it will be better that CoD IMO.

A buddy of mine works for Ubi when I asked how close was it to the OGR, his response was as he laughed, "Try pretty dang close."

When I asked the question about the marketing material, it's just that normally Ubi hypes games pretty hard. It's ok with me that they aren't because if it is a good game, word of mouth will spread.

At this point though nobody knows.

There was recoil, but it was manageable. I thought it was well done. However, there's no "recoil" in GRAW, just cone fire that encourages you to just lay on the trigger. AA may have the same thing (hope not). I'll be glad to see a good system. In ROAS they went overboard on recoil. GRAW has cone fire that I don't really care for. I hope they have a nice middle ground in AA:TS.

COD4 is not supposed to be a realistic shooter. They've said that. It's tactical, it does a great job of transmitting frenzy of a battlefield, but it's not meant to be seen as "realistic". It's designed to be fast paced. They did an incredible job with it. I just hope to see some better gametypes than we saw in the beta.

The good news: I don't have to choose one game or the other. I can buy both, and have with my pre-orders, and can enjoy each for what they are when they come out. Wink

All of the guns except for the AK and the M16 were spray IMO.

You can't run around with M249 on full Auto.
