Is this game not sick or what?! I’m just glad that there is now a straight up tactical game that requires communication, teamwork and tactics to a full extent.

I am also shocked with how much the online community is spot on and respectful for just this demo. I’ve really lost that sense of teamwork with “scrubs” (general players), but this game brings out the communication in everyone.

Bravo and kudos to RSE busting out one hell of a solid game. Clap I will for sure be picking this up on launch day. I’m digging it! Thumbs Up

No major complaints here.. The graphics aren't the best but they're more than adequate. They've been talking about the need for teamwork since they announced the game, and they've definitely delivered on that count. You're not just more effective as a team, you're completely ineffective on your own.

he prox chat is good because you don't have to hear what's going on on the other side of the map.. But I don't think any of the team leaders in my room last night figured out how to use the radio controls so they could talk to each other.

That combination led to a semi-humorous moment where we were gunned down by teammates who were out of earshot.. I turns out that no matter how loud you shout "CEASE FIRE!" into your mic they still can't hear you. But they got an earful when they got a little closer. Veryhappy

I really like this game, but so far I haven't been able to get a good, tactical team who sticks together, uses tactics, and communicates. It is really annoying watching the run and gunners try to do their thing, and miserably fail, then start screaming "This game ****ing sucks, it's so un-realistic". No, I did not make a typo, they actually say that.

IMO This game is very tactical and I'm I think that RSE did an excellent job with it. Thumbs Up Clap

I've been popping in periodically throughout the day reading the commentary on the game. I can't wait to get out of work so I can judge it for myself first hand.

Don't think I completely agree. Might change my opinion after release, depending on how the "ROS-type" game mode is. I expected them to stick to the ROS concept, just with less glitches and better graphics. Think of the detail they could've included if they weren't wasting resources on GRAW/Rainbow game modes. C'mon, after you sprint 50yd, you should not be as effective with your weapon as you were when you were standing still. Even ROS got that right. ROS was a breakthrough game for me, innovative and intense. AA got me into FPS because of that. Hopefully the real thing will be more polished, but for right now, RedStorm doesn't need to make GRAW 3, cuz we're playing it already

Yeah I feel if they can't or won't fix the problems then I might just stay with ROS it was by far better in my opinion. But this game has potential to become something even better than ROS.

not crazy about the ROE being enforced by making the wounded magically invincible.

really not happy about a mandatory bleed out time before any kills...

getting stuck on rediculously small obstacle's is a pain...

other than that i think its great(assuming a little more polish in the final version).

They're not magically invincible... The game just knows that as a U.S. soldier, there's no way you could actually be shooting at an incapacitated enemy, so it just adjusts your aim accordingly. Big Grin

sums it up for me. and those mentioned issues are huge for me. im gonna give it a try with some friends only tonight and really see what its all about. i hope good. if not then i have no choice but to go with COD4. it really isnt that bad on the pc demo i played. i hate halo and all those bunny hoppers but it seems that know one can make a perfect game? i could. give a gamer a shot and he'd make it the best. im a pc game at heart and was way into BF2 but i hate all the BS that come with using a PC. the xbox is nice and easy to use but other than rainbow6 las vegas theres nothing out there.

When you inflict a fatal wound on someone they should die.
Human beings are responsible for their own actions. If a soldier is trained to not shoot at wounded adversaries the soldier will do his/her best to comply with that training. That does not make their adversary invulnerable. On top of that humans make mistakes.

I set the bleed-out timer down to 30 seconds tonight, and for the most part people just didn't even bother trying to heal teammates more than a few yards away. The couple of times I tried it was pretty much a death sentence. I think I like the default of 45 seconds better where you at least have time to locate the enemy before attempting a rescue.

I was reading an article about the game and saw this at the bottom of the article. the website is http://www.gcn.com/print/26_15/44526-1.html

“We have provided options that can be set to disallow using live fire or real ammunition,” Greenback said. “By turning that on, players will only be able to use nonlethal training munitions, just as they do in real Army training events,” he said. Greenback compares the training sessions to a game of paintball. “No one dies during gameplay; instead, they are called out and must sit down.”

Sounds like there will be options. Guess that option is default to ON in the demo. Hope the option he talked about is true and we see it in the full version. This will be perfect for squad training then turn on live fire for clan matches.

I thought you could tern that on and off in the demo? I think it is in player options or extras when you are editing your soldiers gear.

i wouldnt mind the 1 minute bleed out or longer.as long as it wasnt automatic every time someone went down.

as is,i would be playing on the lowest setting possible.

I like the demo. I agree with others who have said: If you were a fan of OGR or AA:RoaS, for the most part, you'll like this game. I can't wait for the full game.

They still have a few problems to work out. As stated above. Assuming they do I'll be happy.
