Just an FYI. I was banned from the COD4 forums for talking about/hyping the AA game. People were having thousands of discussions about campers, run and gunners, whiners, etc. The only solution to such problems is to get AA. I dont think the COD4 developers appreciated it.

They must be worried about this title if they have resorted to banning anyone who mentions it. Not only poor business practice but very immature as well.

Well, I guess it IS kind of rude to go on a developers site and talk up someone else's game. Ubi's staff is more tolerant.
It's hard to talk about realistic tactical shooters and NOT mention AA though, isn't it? I probably mention it too often on the BFS forum, but it's just a great example of how to to certain things.

Meh, DOC4 isn't that good anyways. The beta saved me $60.

In my opinion, COD4 will be for the kids, AATS will be for the grown folk. Metal

I've seen conversations about other games in their off-topic forum without any problems. Although talking about direct competition might be a differant story, and I haven't been there in a while. I find Infinity Ward to be a pretty good developer though.

I liked the COD4 demo. I am open to run&gun and tactical games(prefer tactical). Thing is it was waaayyy too short. It's not a matter of COD4 or AATS, its more like COD4 or GoW(PC). AATS is going in my 360 reguardless! Smile

With all the run and gunning going on in COD4 might as well play Halo3.

Eh, I don't like the COD4 forum anyway. You make a thread, and like 5 minutes later it's on like the 5th page. Wonder who the poor sap is who moderates that Razz

Yeah, it makes it kind of difficult to discuss something you checkback in a couple of minutes and the thread is gone. Plus you have to deal with people who act like they just discovered Al Gore's internet.

it was ok before E3.

now the only way to keep track of a thread is to do a search on your own name.

and this....

Yeah after E3 I just gave up on it. Too many people and every thread seemed to devolve into a war.

me too...

which seems to surprise alot of people with as hard as i can be on certain so called "realistic tactical shooters".

i dont see any contradiction though.

i might like a truck and a sports car...

but does that mean i shouldnt be upset if my sports car drives like a truck?

Yeah, I've had people not understand me when I say a game isn't tactical.
