As some of you know, I am a recruiting company commander in Los Angeles. We are hosting several launch events in the LA area and many other recruiting stations across the country are hosting them as well. I encourage each of you to call your local recruiter (find him/her on goarmy.com) and ask if they are hosting an America's Army launch event. If they don't know about it, tell them to ask their company commander. The request for support to do the event is free and takes minimal effort to organize. See you all on the battlefield!

They haven't heard about it yet. I'm going to go in and discuss some things about my own position on Tuesday. I've considered enlisting for several years. I have a lot of college credit, over 120 hours, so I would be able to start at a higher rank, or possibly do the Warrant Officer program. Only thing is, I have over a year before I get my BA, so I want to complete that. We're going talk about the specifics and do some number crunching to see what my options are with perhaps the National Gaurd or Army reserve. I'm going to bring some info about the game when I go in. I mentioned what you said about it being easy to set up and he was interested, so we will see on Tuesday.

Doesn't the Army have some sort of e-mail distro or some sort of communication among the recruiters?

Seems like it would be very useful if you folks could share information about what is or is not working.

Also, I would think if the Army is putting down the money for this game, they should be notifying all their recruiters about it and giving them all the information CPTBrown48 mentioned.

Yes, an email was sent to every company commander in Army recruiting about this opportunity. That's why I said to tell him to ask his commander. If he wants more specific info, have him call me at 888-495-5268 and I'll hook him up with a request form!

Found out I need to complete college before enlisting, or OCS. I've already invested too much time and money in school, I'll never see again... So I have to finish it. Also, I would rather do that, then the reserves. I told them to ask the CC about email/game. Although, I don't know if they are going to have enough time now. Unless, they do it after release. I hyped it up though!
