Is getting rainbow six raven shield to work on a vista operating system possible?

it is possible, I have just installed it over steam and it works. I just need help updating it doesn't want to seem to take it.

For me its alittle sluggish I but Im gonna fiddle around and get it running smooth

I've just installed Raven Shield along with Athena Sword and Iron Wrath on both Windows Vista (32bit) and Windows 7 (32bit). Both are working fine and dandy.

yes you can install it on vista

I've just had to re-install Raven Shield (and expansion packs) onto Windows 7 [Build 6956] and they all work fine.

My Vista copy is still running smoothly.

Just reinstalled RavenShield/Athen Sword from RavenShield Gold Edition (CD ROM) and all is well

i cannot login to ubi through rainbow six raven shield. I just installed it and created a ubi account and its not letting me login anyhelp

Bit of warning: If you have Xfire on Vista/7 then you need to disable ingame for RvS. Otherwise it will give you all kinds of problems.

It is totally possible, install as per normal.

Then go to your 'Play Raven Shield' Icon and right click and select 'properties' then in the popup window click on 'Open File Location".



Right Click on 'Ravenshield.exe' and click 'properties' to bring up the Ravenshield.exe Properties popup.



Then
1. Select the Compatibility Tab
2. Tick the three lower boxes
3. Hit the Apply and exit the Property Screen



Try starting Ravenshield, if it starts all good, if it doesn't get back to the last Properties screen and untick the "disable display scaling on high DPI settings" box. (I had to do this on a Laptop - PC installs under Vista generally start straight up.

just played RvS and AS on Vista x64 via Steam

at first it got the shakes, almost similar to how Rogue Spear behaves on newer OS. I tried various compability settings and admin modes, but it didn't work. but then it wouldn't start at all (Steam error). I deleted all files and downloaded them again, then it works fine (except all the new sounds don't work in Athena Sword, such as briefing voice-overs, new gun sounds and new Clark mission comments)

downloading Iron Wrath right now. but I've heard the installer doesn't work in Vista. I'll return with the results

edit: Iron Wrath doesn't seen to work with the Steam version of the game. gives an error "Couldn't find Raven Shield Engine"

i just downloaded... but the installer takes 5 minutes to start and then an error shows
"THIS IRON WRATH INSTALLER IS NOT DESIGNED FOR YOUR LANGUAGE! INSTALLATION WILL BE ABORTED"

what the ****!!!


i have tried changing my language settings to US (English) and the Location to US (i downloaded the US language download version and am based in India) but it still gives me the same error...
i have been running Raven Shield smoothly on my system, but the installer for Iron Wrath wont even start.. anybody got any suggestions??
