OK so I just recently re-installed Rogue Spear after all this time, and REALLY want to get some multiplayer matches going. I've been reading around this forum, but haven't really figured out how to get in on it (if "it" is even going on at all).

Could someone please tell me the best/easiest way to find active servers, or hook up with another player?

I just did the same thing and so far I have found that XFIRE has two servers running.

But I have not got to play yet since there is some kind of server conflict.

One of us needs an update or I need the maps they are playing. Not sure yet.

I found the solution. This is what I did and I've been playing like all damn night!


First, you have to make sure you download and install the rogue spear version 2.05 patch.

Then, you register for, and download Gamespy Arcade.

Then, you get into the rogue spear lobby and play!

That's it...although you might have to go to 2def-clan.com to download some of the new map packs...

I have run into a problem with Rogue Spear when trying to create and host a room. I can open the room up and all options and settings work great, but the start button stays gray. I cannot start the game.

You need to have the cd (or a "no cd crack" for the game) to host a game online.

i also just got internet back after about 6 years the zone no longer has rogue spear and trying to find a place similar to the zone gamespy im having trouble figuring out havent played yet also have xfire just got last night seems you have to find people that play rogue there havent found any yet but looking for a bit easier play to play if any like zone was can anyone out there help!thanks p.s.a lost lonly rogue player.

xfire.com is the best site to join RS players. Alot of old MSN Zone Players use xfire. To host RS you need the update patches and new maps.
You also need to open the correct ports on your router.

Greating friends, I checked xfire and didn't see Rogue Spear. Any new developments?

Download Gamespy, that's where RS is played now.
