Ive tried this on a few different laptops with intel graphics and found the game runs , but only on the lowest resolution possible and all of the details medium to low.

I can't play PC games on my laptop even though my card can perfectly run Raven Shield at max settings. It can handle TF2 at medium settings.

However, my main problem is cooling which this comp lacks.

I can be playing the game fine then when it gets too hot, the fans kick in and everything gets choppy.

Any solutions?

vacuum the fan out once in a while.
you could get a notebook cooler that the notebook would set on; at least two fans.

skemp1, what are your exact laptop specs? ie what CPU, Video Card do you have and how much RAM in that thing?

If you're sure that your card doesn't support Hardware T&L there is a way to play without it. Go to your \RavenShield\system\ folder and open RavenShield.ini. Scroll down to the part that says [D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice] (You can use Ctrl + F to find that section in Notepad, makes it a lot easier) and change this:
quote:
UseHardwareTL=True

to this:
quote:
UseHardwareTL=False

That will let you play if you card doesn't support Hardware T&L. Note that your FPS will be a lot lower than it normally would be if it was on. But at least you'll be able to play Smile
