I'm really not a newbie, I've been playing rainbow six since they started to come out on the xbox, but I've never played a pc-only rainbow game, so that's why some might think I'm a newbie.
well anyhoo, lately though I've found kind of a passion for rainbow games and I'm exploring all of the rainbow games tracking back to the earlier ones, and I purchased something called "rainbow six 3 raven shield complete" from ebay, after installing it I tried to run it to play it, but I got a message saying I need a second CD or "CD ROM 2" and then I cant do anything else.
is there really a second CD that should have been included in the package for me to play it? I dont understand it, I installed the games already (by the way this contains, raven shield, athena sword, and iron wrath) so why would there be a need for a second CD?
the guy I bought the game from wont reply to my messages about this so I'm kinda stuck, cuz I dont know what to do. please help, thanks in advance.

Are all three on the one disk? Is it a professionally pressed disk? Did anything else seem amiss when you got the package? Sorry I can't help you past that. I hope you weren't duped. Maybe someone at Aggression can help you get sorted if no one can here.

I'm not sure how many discs the gold edition has but I'll try and find out. It does however sound as though something is missing and the sellers refusal to respond doesnt help you much. It might be an idea to go through ebay officially assuming the sellers had reasonable chance to reply?

as you can see it does look like a genuine piece of software from the manufacturers themselves so I would be inclined to think this is a genuine product, otherwise I would now have bought it.
I dont know what else to tell you, and I can't seem to be able to find any information anywhere whether there should be two CDs on this or what, not on the manual, not on the ubisoft website, short of calling tech support (which looks like I'll end up doing) I've tried everything.

I have some games that are spread across several disks for just one game be it 4 CDs or 2 DVDs (MS Flight Simulator) or just 2 CDs several games including some from Ubi.

I'm not too sure on the newer cuts of the game, but it does sound like you were taken there. It would be interesting to see the actual auction or seller that you bought from. But if the seller won't contact you back about it not working, take it to ebay or paypal. There are many things in place to keep people from being swindled by bad sellers.

I've checked and was informed this game sells with more than one disc so I'm afraid it seems you've a disc/s missing. It's still possible this was genuine error rather than intended deceit so I can only really suggest you continue to per sue contact with the seller, I hope you manage to get things sorted.

i am pretty sure that those games were sold on ONE dvd and i also read about this "insert cd 2 " message error before.
Zech: u can either do what i told u in the pm i sent u, or u try this:
install rvs from the DVD (update to 1.6 if nessecary) then rename the rvs.exe (..\Ravenshield\system\Ravenshield.exe)into original_Ravenshield.exe. then copy the Ravenshield. exe from the DVD-ROM to ..\Ravenshield\system\
now the icon on your desktop should work.

there are meant to be two disks that you install with and a third bonus one the person who sold you it wants to keep playing so he kept the second disk im affrid you have been ripped off

Is it the PC gamer release? I think, but may be wrong, that that edition came on only one DVD.
