To Whom It May Concern,

I'm not familiar with what channels are needed to contact you guys and I'm not a frequenter of your forums you have here, so I thought I'd post this on the off-chance that it might be read by you guys.

I'm writing this as a member of the ATF clan's Rainbow 6 divvy, the oldest divvy in the 800~850 person clan (atfclan.com), starting with the original Rainbow 6, and not including recruits, that spans across 15 games. Due to the passage of time, we're coming up to the point where the Rainbow 6 division of the clan might have to be disabanded indefinitely.

When Rainbow 6: Lockdown came out, we were all ecstatic that we would have another game to play together as a division, but our members who bought the game before the rest of us told of how it was so different from the previous installments of the series. I myself bought the PlayStation 2 version of it because my computer couldn't handle the system requirements. It was extremely fast paced and almost opposite of the previous installments of the game.

The same thing happened with Rainbow 6: Vegas and its sequel came out, except the main reason we did not migrate to that game was because of the high-demand in system requirements.

To this day we play Raven Shield, not because we don't like the other games in the series, but because we can't; or because there is no community to play against.

As I type this, there are 34 players in 54 servers on Raven Shield. The community is thinning out and because of that, our division — the one that started this wonderful family that we call a clan — is taking its last breaths.

The reason I write this to you is because we can't do anything to help the division anymore. If no one is playing, and if the game is too old without updates or patches, then what is there to be done about it?

From the other posts I've seen while glancing the boards for the first time, I get the impression that you won't ever read this. I don't know any other way to contact you, so I can only hope that you guys can create a game, or even if its a new patch on a dying game, that deserves to have the name Rainbow on it.

Sincerely, or as we say in our clan,
*S*

It truly is a shame what happened to Red Storm Entertaiment, and Tom Clancy's legacy.

We sometimes forget that a company must constantly change in order to keep up, otherwise, they fall behind and suffer the consequences.

I'm not defending Ubisoft, simply being a realist.

There's always Armed Assault -- Its online and gameplay atmosphere is the closest I have come to pre-lockdown, except that ArmA has tanks, jeeps, helicopters and jets! Not to mention unpredisented freedom!

If you have the resources to host a dedicated co-op server, I promise you that you and your friends won't be dissapointed!

I was once in your predicament as well.

The best of luck!

S!

The lack of good mission based co-op has actually brought me back to playing Raven Shield. have to say that I am more then a little surprised at the number of people still playing. RVS players out numbering Vegas 2 players online at just a tad short of 2 to 1 for most of the last three days.240 people on earlier this afternoon and the lowest I have seen was 161 at the times I have been on....nothing like what was but better then expected. Hopefully with Vegas 2 not getting it done co-op wise more players will return like I have.
