Hey all. I downloaded ISOs from the internet of Raven Shield. Don't worry, I bought the original game before years ago, but due to them being damaged and locking up on the install, I had to get it from the internet again.
Problem is I read that there's an aspect of code or something in a .ini file in the game's data folder that the link to the CD server was changed in it. Does anybody know what the original one was and where I do in the directory to change it? Also, I still have the game's manual here with the CD key. If I try to use it again will it still work? Thanks |

If your install disk is physically damaged then you are pretty much screwed.
Downloading ISO's is piracy regardless if you have legitimately purchased the game before. That gives you no "right" to obtain the game anyway you see fit in the future. Your best bet is to buy the game for $9.99 off of the UBI store front and get the digital download. Whatever you do, DO NOT go to any Best Buy and buy the jewel case game off of the bargain bin rack. That CD run is corrupt and the game will never finish the install process and there is no fix. Shame on UBI and Best Buy for allowing that crap to remain on the shelves, |

You can also get it cheap off Steam.
I'm not sure what country you're in RangerX3X, but many countries have copyright laws that would permit torrenting if you already own a legit copy. In other words, they consider ownership of the CD key to be the issue, not the physical state of the discs. OP, i would recommend researching exactly what the copyright laws in your country are. - Twilight, RvS modder/coder - Member of unfinished-games.com dev team |
