Where is the key to open the doors?

Thanks for the reply, but you need to be more precise where you are please. The key is a orb key that drops off a Necro in the bottom of a spiral library room, and yes it is chapter 8 cause it leads to Antir's Secret Chamber. In Chapter 8, find the magic book in Arantir's room. Turn and go through the magic portal to find Arantir's secret room.

Ahh.. ok. In the room where you got that key (and in the 3 surrounding rooms) you'll find a trapdoor in the floor, open it and descend the ladder; in the underground section find the gate with a lock and a lever next to it. Use the key to unlock, then use the lever to open the gate, then grab the secret. Go back to the upperfloor again via one of the 4 ladders in the whole area (doesn't matter which).

Btw: i don't see why it would matter where I am.
