No, its not! Lets see: The World is Ashan (in M&M thw world isn't Ashan!) And in M&M world, orcs are green skinned, not red! In M&M world, Vampires are weaker than Liches! In M&M world the necromancers and the undead has nothign to do with the demons and the Sovergein! In M&M world, there are skeletons and zomibes too, and griffins, rocs, and many other cool creatures which aren't in DM! DM is a kinda other game, everyone knows it! IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MIGHT AND MAGIC!!! |

A suggestion for Dark Messaih 2:
-Better and longer storyline -Beign party based RPG, or just an "Action RPG", not just a stupid action game! -Having own custuminzable character (like in Elder Scrolls, making character) -Instead of missions: having quests and sub-quests, making sure we can go to explore Ashan as free, not that missions! -Making sure Lich is stronger than Vampire. -Making sure Necromancers and Undead has nothign to do with Demons, (like in Homm 3 and 5) -Making sure we can buy weapons and armour in city -Making sure we can join to guilds (Fighters Guild or Mages Guild, for example) -Having a lot of monsters, not only 15 evil monsters, we must have wolves, wild animals, demons and undead creatures as monsters, too! -Takign back old heroes, like Sandro and Crag Hack, maybe even Lord Alamar (from M&M 4-5) |

So now you want a game like the old M&M's be called Dark Messiah 2? Nice contradiction to all you have been fighting for, right there. I for one would like a Might and Magic X. Dark Messiah is the action game of the franchise. It's not M&M X!
Sorry to rain on your parade but the previous M&M world was discontinued (yes, I know it sucks, but getting too vocal about it won't yield in any results. Trust me), and now we have Ashan as the M&M world. You have to face the reality. It's not going to change

Might and Magic has nothing to do with Might and Magic. The original Might and Magic series officially ended with the closure of the 3DO Company. --------------------------------------------------- Ashan is a fictional fantasy world created by Ubisoft for their current and future games under the Might and Magic brand. It replaced the old Might and Magic universe. Does this makes it clearer to you? |

If your going to change it back to the style of the original M&M games then why not call it M&MX instead of Dark Messiah 2 sorry about that Mana but look on the bright side; it draws more attention to this thread lol

In the case of a game like Heroes 5 it's not really "originality" it's a time and gamer tested OLD formula combined with a new world. So in some cases neither originality nor old ideas are good :P. (I'm not saying I don't like Heroes 5) |

Dark Messiah has might and magic cause its the fifth in a spin off series (heroes of might and magic) of the original might and magic. thats why it has the might and magic. anyways sequels don't need to be same game style. |

 Dark Messiah would be the 10th game that bears the Might and Magic name. And HoMM was based off M&M, not the other way around. Anyway, I can't tell what you wanted to say with that post, because it doesn't make much sense. |

oh, but still, voyez-vous! - some (quite a lot, considering) people voted for DM not belonging to Might and Magic Universe. I assume they discovered to be wiser not to engage in desperate discussion with Oak and others leaving poor K_D alone on a battlefield.
