well, i bought the disc version of DM a good while ago, installed it fine on my PC (XP) and had a lot of fun. Anyway since then i have a new PC (vista)on which i think i installed both the MP/SP versions fine, but DM wouldnt run, so i uninstalled it and forgot all about it..

Now anyway, MP (which is still installed) works fine, and i want to play singleplayer again, but the shortcut i have is for the disc version, and whenever i click the "install game" tab on steam, it just closes down steam completely (i.e. no longer in task bar etc)

i no longer have the disc, so being able to install from steam would be a great help :|

What Steam release does let you install MP and not install SP?
In "My Games" tab simply select "Dark Messiah Might and Magic Single Player", wait a couple hours and that's all since you had to type your game code when you did install MP

Hello, i have exactly the same problem.

When i click on "install game" tab, steam closes down, as Mr.flixy explained it.

I've tried to launch the installation of dark messiah single player in typing the game code thanks to the "active a product on steam..." tab. But, steam closes down too.

I would like to play dark messiah without the cd, but it seems impossible without the download of Steam

When you're in Steam:

1)select Games > Activate a product on Steam
2)click Next
3)agree the ... agreement
4)enter your product code

When i type the product code, Steam answer me that i have already enter this product code, so i must download this item in "my games".

Of course, the downloading in "My games" doesn't work like i explained it

Though if it says you activated it already... it should be there.

Why on the **** should anyone give you his activation code?
Couldn't you buy this nowadays extremely cheap game, as everybody here did, and read the code inside your box?
Or, even better, why don't you buy this <10$ game on Steam?
