does the Steam version, freshly installed today, still crash on quit on Vista?
I've heard some users that say it doesn't anymore. Maybe something is changed in the meanwhile both in Vista and DM from Steam...

Does DM (Steam) run on Vista or needs the trick to delete that registry key and the *.cfg file on every restart?

Belive it or not, Dark Messiah MultiPlayer on Steam DOES NOT CRASH.
Only the DM SinglePlayer crashes on exit.

This game is not 100% compatible with any other OS than XP. It gives the same exact crash on exit with Vista and Windows 7.
Yes, it's a minor problem, but can be VERY annoying.

Support can just say "Sorry this game wasn't developed for Vista or Win7". Gold support!

our french brothers are so smart they couldn't compile the files needed to develop the game too...
God only knows what they did when patching the game (have a look at old posts just to see what was happening)

They're so... french they give UBI the fault...

Now wait for "The Crossing", the game should work with Vista, too bad Windows 7 is at the gates...

I've finally found another budget version from a newspaper stand ("Giochi per il Mio Computer" - GMC, italian magazine) that works 100% with Vista/Win7 and does not crash on exit! Fully patched (v.1.02) and updated!

Steam and Ubisoft are still selling a buggy version that crashes on exit with Vista/Win7. Don't buy it!
