Mages are easy.
'kay. If you'll notice. 36 kills, 14 deaths. This was the second round, and I started as a level 1 mage around 5 minute sinto it. Also, notice the 10 FPS at the bottom-right. This is at the END of the match, when I'm in a tunnel near absolutely no-one. The highest FPS I really ever saw was 20, while looking at the ground in closed... quarters. So, my average "encounter" FPS (going to the battleground) was around 5-9 FPS. I get 36 kills, and 14 deaths. 4 of these are slays for TKs (incidently, I TK'd 5 times, for a total of 6 people.) So. At this crappy-ass FPS-rate, I managed to kill 42 enemies, 6 allies, and managed to die 8 times to the enemy, 2 times to ally, and 4 times to punishment. Does this not illustrate how easy it is to be a mage? =) |

Meh. They just need to fix the AOEs(lightning orb, fireblast and fire orbs) because theyre WAY out of proportion...for example when you cast fire orb on the ground a giant orb half the size of a knight appears on teh ground. =_= "WTF?".
They should probably edit the orb spell so at level 2 or 3 it insta kills instead of level 1.... the fire blast and lightning orb spells are wayyyy too huge. and fire blast doesnt even do what it says:"...fire is sent in teh direction it was travelling..." it's just a giant blob of fire! Lightning orb is like. ginormous. maybe make it smaller...compromise for mulitple medium sized orbs instead? [Maybe fix chain lightning/charge lightning so it's faster...it's not nearly the speed of light lol] That's all I have to say about Mages.... for now. P.S. FIX PARRY AND KICK |

They way I see it, I think fireorb should set the target on fire and gradually burn away a full life bar. It'd allow them the chance to kill the mage, and possibly find a priestess to heal so that their life isn't burnt away. And I believe that there shouldn't be THREE per pre-cast...
Either: -No instant-kill, gradual fire kill -One orb per-precast, and make it burn faster per level -Three orbs per pre-cast per level, but have it discharge if held too long -Slow the mage down while holding it, similar to a knocked arrow archer! As for the lightning orb. I believe it should have two seconds before it should start damaging. It'd make sense this way, because the mage himself doesn't get hurt by it, but anyone standing RIGHT next to him, or behind him will... That would also prevent mages going to those narrow corridors and just. Chucking it when they see someone :P |

Yeah, mages are easy, ridiculously so. I have just started playing multiplayer in the last three days and having a very good time. But it became gradually apparent is the how overpowered the Mage class is. Every other class has their key strengths and roles with some modicum of balance. Warriors stand out as especially strong but they are needed to keep Archers from being picked of by other Warriors or Assassins. Mages are just fire and forget, one hit autoaim fragging makes no sense in these types of games. Who needs skill or wants to play a moderately competitive/fun game when you have players laying waste to everything with minimal effort. I will keep playing because I love this game, but reading older posts I see this issue was recognised a very long time ago and nothing was done about it. |
