hey guys this works for me,right click icon select properties,on the shortcut page select advanced tick run with different credentials then apply,Doubble click icon then when it asks which user to use tick "the following user" option then put in your main user name a pw,hope this helps some of u out.
ps,do this even if u are the only user on your pc aswell,sounds strange but it worked 4 me

Sorry Asmor, make sure you have a password! Right click the Dark Messiah shortcut on the desktop, click Properties, click the Shortcut tab if it isn't already open, click Advanced, check Run with different credentials, click Okay, click Apply, and click OK, double click the Shortcut, select your CURRENT account from the dropdown menu, type in your password(Make sure you made one!) and see if that works for you.

Yeah, it doesn't work for me either... CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE GET THIS TO WORK?? HALF THE PEOPLE WHO DOWNLOAD IT SAY THE SAME STUPID MM.EXE ERROR POPS UP! I managed to install, but when I try to run the game, mm.exe error pops up.

alexismmmboy, you're reading threads nearly two years old, check the date... The game works.

Update it to patch 1.01, then 1.02.

If you're having the protection problem where it asks you to insert the original disk even though you have, it's sometimes caused by SATA dvd drives. Try it on IDE if you can. I couldn't test this though.

^^Illegal suggestion and completely unnecessary. "the protection problem" ? It is clearly explained in this thread [POST 5] error =12= what to do when that happens and you have the legal copy of the game.

SATA is no problem whatsoever.

As far as I'm aware, using a no-cd crack to play a legally owned game isn't illegal. I've not checked in the EULA, but I've not seen it mentioned in other games, so I don't see what the problem is. And yes, I can provide proof of purchase.

The mention regarding securom problems doesn't apply to me, I don't use deamon tools, or alcohol (other than the drinkable kind) or whatever. My system is set up correctly (according to the instructions found there). I even sent the required file off to securom, and they haven't replied after a week. I sent it twice from two different email's to be sure. The lack of response (other than the auto respons saying someone would contact me within 48 hours) would indicate that they have no clue.

As for SATA not being a problem, have a look through some of the other fotums on this site, the problem has cropped up occasionally.

Also in the post you linked to, it claims 16:10 resolution isn't supported? I'm having no problems playing 16:10 in either 1280x800 or 1440x900 with everything turned up as high as it will go (apart form HDR reduced to bloom)???

Posting a no cd crack here would earn you a permanent ban.
