I would really like a Necromancer, you know, raise the dead, use shadow magic, etc. I always prefer the dark side.

Actually there is a way to make it with necros, you could just call it something else like Spirit class and include the druid for the humans. Its still a necro, but has a different class name.
Skills can easily be made if you think about it. Shape Shifting: Druid - Bear & Lycanthrope Necro - Grim Reaper & Ghost (1st form is powerful and has better armour vs. Weapon Damage, 2nd form is fast and has better armour vs. Elemantal damage) Projectile: Druid - Light Spear Necro - Bone Spear Damage Over Time Curses: Druid - Spirit Burn Necro - Soul Siphon (These are not like corrupt, they are weaker and cast once and they stick to the target but have long recharge times. Good for runners.) Pet/Minion: Druid - Mystic Wolf Necro - Hellhound (fast moving AI unit that will deter anybody that comes into close combat, Right click tells the unit to chase after a target, 2nd right click tells it to return to you, these are quite durable but have low damage) Allied Weapon Buffs: Druid: Blessed Weapon Necro: Horror Weapon (These enhance weapon damage done with staffs,daggers,swords & arrows) Mana Drain: This can easily work for both classes, it's like corrupt except it slowly drains the enemys mana. It also drains 33% more if the target is stone skinned. This can also be used on bramble patches, just like eating souls but has a better range and takes a little longer. Id also prefer focus on improving the current classes, but if an Expansion or Sequel was made, they should also add something new for the old classes to re-ignite interest aswell as helping balance it against the new classes. |

syncourt have the right idea's, though i was wondering if druids transforming classes should cost mana over time? so that you have to "time" your transformation instead of just cast it when want to and such, also this could be a good way to prevent people from somehow play unfair.

I was thinking along the lines that shapeshifting would freeze you for a few seconds while transforming to and from. But while transformed you can't use any of your spells, while transformed you are focused on melee.
So you pretty much haveto transform before combat and then go look for a suitable target. If you wanto change back, you would need to be in a safe zone. This also means if your AI pet/minion dies while transformed you can't summon him again until out of combat. The last thing you would want is to have the enemy running away and wasting all your mana while chasing them. |

yeah a freeze system would be the best idea
(would also be cool if you could see yourself transforming from human to wolf for example.) I was just afraid of instant transforming so that you could, cast spell, cast spell, cast spell, then when assassin finally got into melee you could just transform over to a melee class own him and yadayada. |

I think those options ain't that precise. An Ogre? Druid? Maybe Necromancer don't ya think? - Can raise dead from pavement and cast endless nightmare on you. This would rather turn to SP, yet still I would agree with the ideas of Paladin, Warlock or Battlemage. |

Did you get those names from a D&D style game like NWN? Well... Necromancy may be a possability but im sure it would confuse a great many new players. I just get uncomfortable with the idea of a lvl 10 necromancer hiding in a glitch or somthing and summoning high power skelitons and killing all the low levels and stealing all the kills. If the Ubisoft crew got detailed in the transformation for druids then that could naturally add time for transforming. This message has been edited. Never played any of the D&D games... yet. Most of the name ideas are similar to Guild Wars with a Diablo 2 here and there.
The way I'm saying, necros/druids minions couldn't be used to exploit anything, mostly being that you can only have 1 minion raised at a time. The minion is fast, does low damage but has a lot of health. (basically just a weak version of a warrior but without the high damage or armour upgrades.) However He is 20% magic resistant and immune to backstab. The minion spell takes ALL of your mana so it can only be cast during combat as a retreat option, otherwise it is cast in preparation. It's main purpose is to distract the long ranged classes: mages and archers. It doesnt do much damage but it does bit by bit which combined with the draining spells can toll up. Being that it attacks in melee it hinders the enemys ability to dodge and aim as easily aswell as getting in the way of melee attackers that chase after you, slowing them down slightly. People will usually wanto take out the minion first so that it doesnt block thier movement/aiming while chasing the necro. Kamikazie mages will enjoy planting themselves 6 feet under in the face of a minion. Its pretty much a bodyguard and a distraction rather than an offensive tool. Without you working with it, the minion is useless by itself. A warrior or assassin is the best counter for a minion master necro as a warrior can clean through the minion and and the necro in melee (if the necro doesnt hit the bolt while warrior fights with his minion). Assassins can simply sneak up and backstab the necro, which also kills his minion. The minion cannot see nor chase a cloaked assassin, even while moving. |

ATENTION!!!
Recently I' v been thinking, and I thought that since; 1. people are starting to get bored with this game a little bit, 2. people have been contributing some great ideas and 3. this would be a great way to get somthing the x-box dosn't have, the staff could work on some of these ideas. A necromancer would fit in the game more. The undead mages seem identical to human ones but dead... Wimpy, best combat spell as Flame Arrow but the ability to reanimate corpses and later on summon a zombie (fair because the former needs a corpse), oh give them the hook too... They might deserve Freeze (the way it works in SP is fine).
It could replace the Undead Mage or be a new class, but what would humans get? It'd also make sense to make the human warriors as Stonehelm Guards and the undead as Black Guard. Sareth didn't fight any of the undead knights in MP did he? |

I, like many others, see the posability of the druid class becoming very popular, the changing into a stronger faster creature is the main appeal. A human necromancer would just not fit and ruin the whole storyline because Stonehelm, the Guard and the mages are fighting the forces of darkness and necromancy. Mabey an undead Necromancer and a human Summoner?
The idea of new teams/races is interesting. Mabey in a sequal they can have the class selection and such and have more races. If not consider the posability of adding the orcs as a team; Priestess=Shaman, Warior=Warior, Archer=Orc Crossbowman, Mage=Mage, Assasin=............I have no ideas here, Orcs are just not built to be assasins. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ATF Archers of The Flame We are devoted to fire, and shooting it at people. |

... well im not sure about everybody, else but I dont want to get drunk while the game is playing. Could you explain your ideas on how the transformation will look? Mabey some froth spilled on the ground? What will the atacks look like? A big greenish splash that works like poisen? Cause enimies to hiccup themselfs to death?
