Hi there. I'm finding this to be a really neat and enjoyable game. I'm playing as a stealth/archer type, on Hard. So far I've enjoyed the challenge, and enjoyed finding novel and amusing ways of dispatching my enemies.

The trouble is I've just got to the island and facing that bunch of orcs and I'm getting nowhere. They kill me with two hits! I've tried fighting with Leanna with me so she can heal me but they can still hack me to bits quicker than she can heal me. I've tried kicking them on spikes (maybe manage it with one or two), I've tried luring them away one at a time, and that never works. I end up taking on three at once while two or three more of their lethal archers stand off and shoot. So it's over pretty quick every time. I've tried with my assassins garb as well as the chainmail, with or without a shield, with a long sword or daggers, nothing makes any difference.

I'm debating starting again on normal, but I'd rather not go all the way back to the beginning.

So I was wondering if you can tell me if it gets harder from here on out, or is this just a really tough bit? If so can you give me some tips on how to get past it? Or if I'm having this much trouble now is it pretty hopless?

hmm, I remember this bit; it was rather tricky.

Maybe you should try and setup before you start attacking, as in where you should run to when you engage them etc.

Well I left Leanna and the two mages down that path in the hopes of luring one or two at a time and ganging up on them. It works but they're still too much. I can just about hold my own with one but there always seems to be one standing off with a bow and that one goes for Leanna. It doesn't take long for him to kill her.

So then I tried the Charm spell and figured I'd just keep charming them and making them fight each other, but after I do it once, there's another one on top of me in no time and in the time it takes to quaff a mana potion and get ready to cast the spell again he's hacked me to pieces.

So I reluctantly started again and it's just silly how easy it is. I'm throwing black guards around like rag dolls. I haven't even bothered spending any skill points yet.

I think they could have fine tuned the difficulty a bit more.
