One year ago DARK MESSIAH was released!It is one of the best games i've played and it should've been the game of the year 2006!
But what happened?!today it seemes that Dark Messiah is dead and buried by Ubisoft that isnt paying any atention to it or to the comunity! Wake up Ubisoft! whats a matter with you?? dont you see that everybody wants a Dark Messiah 2?! Dark Messiah is a great game witch can start a new chapter in the history of games! and deserves a sequel! insted of making 100 bad games(you know what i mean)make only one but damm good!!And that is DARK MESSIAH!! And not only you dont want to make a sequel you dont even relese the full SDK for crying out loud!  This game is a piece of art and it must have a sequel! I hope i'm speaking in the name of all the comunity when i say this: Ubisoft! you got untill next year to make it! Or else...a Revolution shall start!  And now to the comunity: ARE YOU WITH ME? Em... dude... I haven't played Dark Messiah and I honestly have no idea whether it is "good" or "bad" game, but I can assure you that a lot of people consider it failure.

You're the same am-shaegar asking for DM2 in another post aren't you?
Then, who will have to develop it, considering copyright? Ask to Far Cry fans what happened to that "...greatly innovative game..." with "...a new revolutionary graphic engine..." You're hoping to "rebuild Dark Messiah on the engine of Crysis" in another post too. Do you feel EA will do a better job? For what's about the SDK, Arkane promised it (but they're french...), surely Ubi didn't put 1 cent on it, but they could simply release the 5 or 6 files needed to build single player maps so we could have some new chapters. |

First of all the only ones able to develop it are Arkane! Second it was just an ideea about the crysis engine,i've played the demo and i was just asking how would it be!  Non the less Dark Messiah 2 will be made! |

Where did you get the idea that Arkane promised the sdk? It was Ubisoft who did. Not Arkane. And Arkane can not release licensed files unless Ubisoft allows it. And so on and so forth. |

Well I thought that "the Ubisoft Community Team and the Dev Team have gotten together to offer one last opportunity with this game" then Arkane is involved as much as Ubisoft, and I believe that if they'd really push for release Ubi wouldn't regret so much... You have to explain am-shaegar what "(Dark Messiah) Might and Magic™ game" means in copyright terms too. |

I know very well what might and magic means in copyright terms. I know that ubisoft has the license for Might and Magic and Arkane cant do anything without theyr aproval. Thats why were asking a sequel from ubisoft and not directly from Arkane! Anyway were loosing the point here! That is a sequel!! |

Maybe my little knowledge with english language makes me looking like an hater or worse with this game.
I've had loved it too, I'm just sure that a good sequel, could be made with the actual engine as well. Let me explain: I'm talking about single player gaming. I'm sure that if you liked (repeat: like me) the simple storyline behind it, you can't state that Arkane only can make a sequel, 'cause if you've ever played Dungeons'n'Dragons (not the PC version) you'll know that everybody with a little "imagination" can do right as well. So looking at the various Source mods out there, I don't mind whoever will create some new episodes, I don't mind whether they're named Dark Messiah or Might and Magic either... well this is just stupid im tired of seeing that you people want a dark messiah 2 and i sure as hell want to but what do you think ubisoft think on? MONEY this game was a D sale and ubisoft havent got quite much money of out this as they got on a game like heroes and settlers. what im trying to say that they havent earned so much money on this games and i dont really think a dark messiah 2 will be comming yet |

I agree, nothing wrong with Ubisoft, maybe game wasn't selling enough to be profitable for sequel. Game isn't completely dead, I played very good multiplayer game lask weekend. Though I haven't seen any new Crusader maps yet, so it is obvious this game isn't so popular as it could be. Players who like RPG's aren't playing it becouse it isn't like normal RPG with 3rd person view and players who like FPS aren't playing it becouse it isn't like normal FPS game with pistols and rifles. I don't know what is the truth becouse I don't have sales figures. I bet Ubisoft knows is it profitable enough to make sequel and only time will tell are we seeing it or not. |

...now I have to agree with venom here. This is OUR forum for the game. Dont go bad-mouthing our game without having even played it.  We had hopes for this game, aparantly none of the "officials" are even reading this forum and the other forum administrators have not posted for months(Mana discluded). Wait please: they're "gotten together to offer one last opportunity with this game" and they're "able to provide a final tool to assist the community in playing with new content and customizing your gaming experience" actually they're sure "testing (an) SDK". Let's hope they're not on vacation with our money...  |
